At the @UBFootball Pro Day, All-American linebacker Red Murdock (@redmurdock2) ran an unofficial 4.67 in the 40-yard dash. The nation’s runner-up in tackles in 2024 (156) finished with the third most in 2025 (142). He racked up 22 bench reps which would be the third highest at the NFL Combine by a linebacker. During his time at Buffalo, he set the NCAA career record for forced fumbles with 17, breaking former UB great Khalil Mack’s (2010-13) record. Red’s given name is Khalil. @SalSports @WGR550

High school players and parents… here’s the reality of recruiting. College coaches evaluate size first. Height, weight, and frame matter at every level of college football. Start by being honest and set realistic expectations about where you fit. If you meet the size standards, you still have to produce. Big players are everywhere.
