A former big leaguer called me about his son, here are some of his metrics: 104 EV 6.8 60yd dash 4.0 GPA 88mph off the mound 3 year varsity starter All region Has ZERO OFFERS, and limited contact. He told me he spent $10,000+ on recruiting services. All with the same gameplan. “Build a profile on OUR website and post your info, college coaches subscribe to us” I told him, the only profile he needs is his Twitter, and that’s free. I begin to explain how the recruiting process works in 2026, and they followed my advice. 3 weeks later, has dozens of D1 phone calls, and two verbal offers. Recruiting can be complex these days, if you get a legitimate gameplan… the sky is the limit✅

Light slate of D1 action last night, so Thursday's comeback of the day goes to the D3 @BaseballHilbert Hawks. Down 3-1, they tied it up in the 9th and ended up dropping a 6-spot(!) in the 11th. Not bad!

My biggest coaching pet peeve: Parents and players are always looking for the next best. The latest training tool, the newest innovative drill, or lesson lesson lesson. When 95% of kids need calories and a gym membership. Big and strong = Confidence

The best time of the year IMO is watching spring training drills even before the games. You get to see the Giants work out and see how players look and it’s a part of the season that baseball purists love. I highly recommend coming down to watch practices before the games start. Also, you get to enjoy a little bit of Fleetwood Mac!
