Recruits: What's the most important thing in your decision making process?

Each school or HC has a different offer process. Some HC's only offer when you get on campus so they can see your measurables. Some are willing to offer over the phone. Just a preference that you have to understand.

If you’re a 2026 and have a late arrival, check in with your coach to see if college coaches are coming to the school, which means the college coach reached out to your coach. You don’t want to miss the opportunity to meet a coach that’s interested in you.

If you are a 2027 or beyond recruit, the best way to get into the system is by filling out questionnaire. D2s don't work on a different timeline compared to the FCS/FBS schools. questionnaires.armssoftware.com/5851e5d96449

In 2007, I was redshirted and called my dad to get advice on transferring which back then you had to sit out a year. He said "Nah you're good right up there, get better." then he hung up the phone. Some of the best advice I could have ever gotten in a 2 minute phone call.

@CoachDavis77 Yeah it's definitely a sick game. Bunch of D2-D3 kids hitting the portal and schools are waiting for the D1s so it's definitely a trickle effect.

More Colleges are in the portal, means less of them hitting the High Schools which is fine by me. We still take HS kids, and if they’re good enough, play them that first year too.

If you're under weight for your position and want to play college ball, instead of asking for a laptop, sneakers, or Beats, ask for protein shakes. You know what it's called: Priorities

@RecruitDatabse Yeah true, and in other cases, sometimes they don't know what they don't know. When I walk into schools and look at transcripts, I know they aren't getting advised on the right classes to take, let alone taking some protein shakes.
