This is what many people fail to realize: It is FAR more difficult for a RICH kid to make it to the NBA, or the NFL than it is for a POOR kid. This is why 95% of the athletes in the NFL and the NBA come from either poor, or lower middle-class families. You see these idiots talking about “Nepo babies,” and athletes only achieving success because of their rich fathers. You folks have no clue. When you are a poor kid, the pain of watching your mother suffer is what DRIVES you. This pain robs you of sleep at night. It DRIVES you to WORK when all of your teammates are just enjoying life. Deion Sanders was a high school star athlete in FOUR sports: Baseball, basketball, track, AND football. He WORKED year-round. He sacrificed his youth. Why? He watched his mother work three jobs. He saw his mother tired and struggling to get rest. The PAIN of watching his mother suffer DROVE him to the NFL AND to the Major Leagues. Lebron’s mother gave birth to him at 16. He watched her struggle. He worked his butt off to save her. He was great at football AND basketball. He was determined to rescue his mother. When he signed his deal with Nike coming out of high school, his FIRST order of business was to move her out of the low-income housing projects. ____________________________________ Bronny James does not HAVE to play basketball. His father owns a massive business enterprise. He could quit basketball tomorrow to either start his own businesses, or to become the VP of his father’s businesses. Shedeur Sanders does not HAVE to play football. He could leave football tomorrow to open up a chain of businesses if he wished to. He had that option coming out of college. _____________________________________ These guys are not driven by pain or poverty. They are driven by their individual desires to be great, and their competitive natures. These guys are also cursed by the greatness of their fathers. Their accomplishments will be overlooked by both the media and the general public because they will always be measured against the successes of their fathers. This adds enormous pressure. When you grow up rich, poor athletes envy you. They hate you. They go at your throat because they can’t be you. They save their best efforts for YOU. They try to break you before you make it. They want to see you fail. Surviving these attacks, along with the pressures of the national media that comes with being the descendants of greatness requires a great deal of heart and mental toughness. This explains why Bronny and Shedeur are mentally and physically as tough as they come.

Huskies for life 💙🤍 Nothing better than seeing Paige and Nika linking up in Croatia. That backcourt chemistry didn’t end in Storrs. From Final Four runs to overseas vacations, they’ve always been locked in. UConn fans eating good this is the friendship content we needed. Off-season UConn reunion everything.

@basketball47783 @SNYUConn Can’t say that I care one way or the other but it does look a little deeper than just a friendship if I had to guess with knowing nothing. But now you let me know and it still looks a little deeper lol

@hovah76 Biggest muscle is the brain and mentality. LeBron doesn’t have that. Jordan and Kobe for sure did. Muscles don’t make you tough but he can lift a table easier so that’s cool

Years ago, the Detroit Pistons absolutely OWNED Michael Jordan for multiple seasons. Their game plan was simple: Mike is soft. If he drives to the basket hit him HARD. He hates hard fouls. They utilized this plan to perfection, beating the crap out of Mike over and over again. Eventually, a few things happened that changed this: 1. MJ went to David Stern, who was the commissioner of the NBA, crying about these hard fouls. 2. David Stern changed the rules to enable MJ to get his points off without the hard fouls. 3. (My opinion) MJ started using PED’s and lifting weights. He packed on 20lbs of muscle. _________________________________ I often hear people making stupid comments about how Lebron James would not have been as dominant in the 80’s and 90’s due to these hard fouls. 😂 Lebron James is 6’10/280lbs. He eats weights like most NBA players eat weed. THAT CRAP WOULDN’T WORK with LBJ!!!! Even AFTER using PED’s and lifting weights for years to go from 195 to 215, Michael Jordan was still smaller than LBJ was in HIGH SCHOOL!!!! (Them) “But Lebron is soft! He would not have been tough enough for the 80’s and 90’s!!” Soft???? The dude who was an All-State Wide Receiver in high school with FOOTBALL scholarship offers to Ohio State, Alabama, Miami, and Miami from running slants across the MIDDLE?!! SOFT???? Okay.

Sidelines - Creighton
So now that the roster is (almost) set, we are looking at a lineup like: Davis/Harmon Enis/Swartz Greer/Green JMA/Traudt Oswin/Rosa This lineup will likely be better on defense, with Davis and Oswin being added, offense will be good like it usually is. Gotta stay healthy🙏

Jimmy Kimmel tells critics to stop telling him his job is to be funny. Says his job is “whatever I DECIDE my job is.” Suggests that if his comedy suffers because he wants to talk about Trump, then so be it. “I just can’t imagine on those nights talking about anything other than what we are talking about.” “I think it would be embarrassing if we didn’t talk about this stuff. It would be shameful.” “I love telling jokes. I love being funny. I love when the audience laughs… But well-rounded human beings don’t behave that way.” “And to say that, ‘Your job is this,’ I bristle at that.” “Because first of all, don’t tell me what my job is. I don’t tell you what your job is.” “My job is whatever I decide my job is or whatever my employer allows me to do. That’s what my job is.”
