@Coachhuney @kaizen000000000 The scenarios are diffeerent. A thiest would say stopping the suffering here would contradict free will and our choice to rebel in the garden of eden or whatever. Moving a train to an empy lane doesn't require taking away someones free will.

If you just hit the switch and redirect the train to the other tracks you will save 10 people’s lives, but you choose not to. Is that choice evil?

I’m not a theist by any means but this is a pretty bad argument or atleast poorly framed. Foreknowledge of evil does not = Endorsement of said evil. Now we can talk about the directly evil actions God did commit such as the slaying of the first born son of every Egyptian for the actions of Pharaoh and hardening his heart instead of just punishing Pharaoh directly. Why the hell would he do that?
