I really want to be more involved in Christian political advocacy in future years but I am concerned that so many of the ministers high up in political connection seem corrupt. I’m not sure of how much I can do working alongside people like that. I mean, people like the utterly corrupt Paula White. If you can stomach her as your spiritual friend then I don’t know how to work with that. Perhaps I am better off on the outside if major Christian-named political influencers and groups can’t bring themselves to mark and avoid Paula White. I still have time to work through this but think it’s good to openly acknowledge the elephants in the room. I say “elephants” because Paula White is merely a stand-in for so many names.

Bad Bunny was a working class Puerto Rican who went from being a grocery store bagger at an Econo supermarket to global superstardom. Instead of being divisive, he celebrated the stories of his Puerto Rican culture and unity amongst all the countries in America. Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio showed the world that we can celebrate the uniqueness of our cultures and still appreciate each other. Believing in yourself, never giving up, never forgetting who you are, never forgetting where you came from and making a better life for you, your family and your people is the American Dream. Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl Halftime performance may have been primarily in Spanish, but it embodied what the American Dream is all about. Benito proved that he belongs without erasing himself. Okay I have now watched Kid Rock's performance and Bad Bunny's performance. Here's my honest opinion. Bad Bunny: I don't understand Spanish so I have no idea what lyrics he sang, so I'll just start off by commenting on the visuals. It started off fairly wholesome, and reminded me of when I lived in the lower east side of Manhattan, which was predominantly Puerto Rican. I'll always have a special affection for that culture because of that era of my life. Then the booty dancing started, which was inappropriate, along with other moments of people grinding on each other (including two guys). Not appropriate for a family show, in my opinion. Overall, I didn't think it was as bad as some people thought it was. HOWEVER (and it's a BIG however). The lyrics of the songs he sang (which I understand he altered to make them less vulgar) are absolutely disgusting, vile, and utterly depraved. Bad Bunny has performed in drag on several occasions, and denounced law enforcement (ICE) at the Grammys. My concern is that the presentation could lead many unsuspecting people (including millions of children) to discover his obscene music and look to him as a role model. That would be disastrous for their soul. Kid Rock: He started off with a short version of a song that included lyrics that list off people like "midnight glancers and topless dancers," along with drug addicts and alcoholics. Then it says, "And for my hoods of the world misunderstood I said, 'It's all good. And it's all in fun. Now get into the pit and try to love someone." Then it went abruptly to an unexpectedly beautiful and somber string interlude before he was introduced by his real name, where he sang about second chances. In that context, he encouraged viewers to read their Bibles and give their hearts to Jesus. As an artist, it seemed very clear to me that the whole performance was his salvation arc. Maybe I'm naive, but it seemed like he listed those people off on purpose...no one is beyond redemption. No one is outside of God's invitation for salvation. I really liked his performance.

@RGIII Ephesians 4:29 says let no unwholesome word proceed out of your mouth. Read the English translation of his song Safaera and see if that is appropriate for your daughters. That would be love in action.

The song Bad Bunny performed tonight to open the halftime show was called “my aunt asked me” It’s a song about how his aunt asked him why he has so many girlfriends. He says he wants to bring all of his girlfriends to the VIP section of the club. You’ll notice the set he performed on was decorated with EBT signs and women who looked like hookers. Because that’s what we need more of in America right? More people who don’t speak English having promiscuous relationships with multiple women and having kids they can’t afford to raise? How about we encourage people to be in committed relationships and have one partner? We wouldn’t need signs that said EBT accepted here and we wouldn’t need to integrate ESL programs in our schools if we stopped encouraging foreigners to have multiple baby Mommas and baby daddies which means more kids in broken homes that only become a massive burden to US taxpayers and the US education system since they don’t speak English. Some people call it “entertainment”. I call it the great replacement.
