Attorney General Miyares’ investigation confirms that in 2020 the Fairfax County School Board and administration engineered and executed an illegal admissions policy to discriminate against Asian Americans, denying the dreams of hardworking Virginia students simply because of their race. This calculated effort to illegally discriminate by the progressive left shocks the conscience and violates our deepest held values as Americans. There must be consequences for this ongoing violation of federal and state civil rights laws. I thank General Miyares and his team for referring this matter to federal authorities for further enforcement.
Earlier today, I informed FCPS that their admissions policy for Thomas Jefferson High School violated civil rights law. Discrimination -- especially in our public schools -- will not be ignored. wjla.com/news/local/att…
My office found that FCPS knowingly and deliberately overhauled Thomas Jefferson High School’s merit-based admissions policy to reduce opportunities for Asian American students. I’ve referred this to @USEdGov and @TheJusticeDept for enforcement under federal civil rights law.
