One of the biggest success stories of the Malindi Integrated Social Health Development Project (MISHDP) is Ngomeni Secondary School with a total of 14 classrooms constructed by CDA no mean feat. Since the project’s inception, CDA has played a transformative role in the school’s growth. In Phase I, CDA constructed eight classrooms, an administration block, four science laboratories, a computer laboratory and a library. As enrolment increased, Phase II delivered four additional classrooms, a boys’ dormitory, and a multipurpose hall. The project also introduced scholarship and mentorship programmes that continue to empower students and expand their opportunities. Today, Ngomeni Secondary School stands as a powerful testament to how strategic investment in education can transform lives and uplift communities. #TransformingLives #MISHDP #EducationForAll #CDAImpact #Magarini #KilifiCounty #EmpoweringYouth #CoastDevelopmentAuthority #malindi

Mombasa Positioned for Major Energy Investment as Refinery Talks Gain Momentum The CDA Chairman #Mzee Mwinyi Mzee has joined high-level discussions emerging from the Africa We Build Summit, focusing on the proposed 650,000 barrels per day mega refinery project linked to Aliko Dangote. The project is being highlighted as a potential game-changer for the region’s industrial and energy future. Adding his voice in the discussions, the Chairman further noted that now that Mombasa is firmly on the global investment map, there is a strong need for strategic partnerships that can unlock large-scale development opportunities. He emphasized that Mombasa’s importance lies in its strategic coastal location, deep-water port and role as a regional trade gateway connecting East and Central Africa. The Chairman further stressed that ongoing conversations must translate into tangible benefits for local communities. These include job creation, skills development and improved livelihoods for residents across the region. #AfricaWeBuildSummit #Mombasa #EnergyTransition #oilrefinery #Mzee #KenyaInvestmentHub #DangoteGroup #AlikoDangote #RegionalIntegration #TransformingCoastRegion

Hambaresa Water Pan Delivers Hope in @Tanarivercounty. The waterpan is already 70% full, capturing mostly floodwater from upstream catchment areas. The area received very limited rainfall. Constructed in less than two months, the 100,000m³ earth-fill dam is now conserving water that would previously flow away unused through the lagha. The project will benefit over 5,000 residents and more than 40,000 livestock, providing a reliable source of water for domestic and livestock use. #CoastalDevelopment #TanaRiverCounty #WaterAccess #Impact

CDA Ag. MD Dr. Mwanasiti Bendera today chaired a key stakeholders’ Contract Implementation Team meeting for the ongoing Mjanaheri–Ngomeni Road project, a transformative 12-kilometre tarmaking. Once complete, the road will significantly ease transport for residents, fishermen, traders, students and motorists travelling within the fast-growing Ngomeni corridor, while also opening up the area for more economic opportunities and investment. Despite the heavy rains experienced since April slowing down some construction activities, works are progressing steadily. “Rain challenges may have slowed progress, but our commitment remains firm. We are working closely with all stakeholders and contractors to ensure quality work and timely completion of this critical road project for the benefit of the people,” said CDA Ag. MD Dr. Mwanasiti Bendera. Kenya Rural Roads Authority

Kaltum water pan is still full, with heavy rain still pouring. After months of drought, the continued rains have kept water levels high, bringing sustained relief to families and livestock in Kaltum village and beyond. What started as a hopeful recovery is now turning into a season of reassurance. Reliable water access means less stress for households, healthier livestock, and stronger communities. Pastoralists can breathe a little easier, and long treks in search of water are taking a well-deserved break. #Garissa #Water #ClimateResilience
