@HedgehogCabin @SatyagrahAlba And as a bonus result: the slugs and snails like the soggy cardboard and bird poo so much, they stayed away from the seedlings I planted fairly nearby.

Humane method of killing slugs? I love my garden but have never found a means of dealing with slugs and my conscience, any suggestions?

Natural fabric dying session with the local youth club went as terrifically well as our new eco zoom #rocketstove s. We found #Weld on the field we use in #Brightlingsea and the yellow the young people made was eye popping. 💛

@Ranfje @chrismothman1 @SueRoeGardener @RogerKTabor @MarkPHalladay The ivy in my garden is full of wildlife. Including a colony of sparrows. I love the stuff! It grows up one wall and has never been a problem for the brickwork, lime or soffits

#BloomingBrightlingsea Seems the benefits of reducing mowing may be gaining traction - a grassy bank opposite the Lido has masses of Bur Chervil, and also White Ramping Fumitory, and surprisingly early Field Scabious. Whoever manages it, well done! @RogerKTabor @CobnutsCoop
