That is a hard admission by the NCAA that they didn't have hard evidence against Tarkanian, just suspicions. The very same type of suspicions that they looked the other way for if they were a P5 team.

You’re using Utah to judge the Big 12… so yeah, we’ll use OSU too: 0–18 the last 2 years.
Also: 16 teams, no round robin, unbalanced schedules.
"Just win the conference!" isn’t the gotcha you think it is - it’s lazy, unfounded analysis.

With all due respect to @AMarkham_UN, but if Utah is playing teams in the Big 12 that are on the “same caliber as Cal,” why is it that Utah not only can’t win the Big 12, but can’t make the Big 12 Championship game?
Think that says more about Utah, than the rest of the league.

@DanIsett They did. And if you ask me why they did it, it’s so they have cash on hand in case they get the opportunity to buy their way into the B1G. But if your solution is for the whole conference to go private equity while TT bathes in oil, that’s not going to end well

@CockyWilbur @mikie_v @MtbHi What is a documented fact is that Lute took over for Tark at Long Beach State, had the team 24-2 and #3 in the Country. And in the middle of the season received a 3yr post season ban from recruiting violations by Tark. That is a documented fact.

Arizona State Sun Devils football and Arizona Wildcats football have seen a modest dip in brand index since moving from the Pac-12 to the Big 12.
Bottom line—brand index for both Arizona programs has been mostly flat.

What the NCAA needs to do with fouls more than anything, is call technical fouls on flopping.
A little bump by Richmond sends that size human 15 feet across the court? Not even possible.
And the 7'2 260 pound guy got a little shove in the back earlier that caused him to fall forward, wincing in pain? No.
I kind of liked Arizona before the flopping. I actually picked them to win the tournament in my ESPN bracket.
Now, can't stand them strictly because of the flopping..... especially when you're up 20 points with 7 minutes left.
That is Will Wade level pansy bs.

I really don’t see this as an F2. Maybe F1 but even so certainly some embellishment. To see an F2 foul assessed, you really want egregious and malicious intent. I see a bit of a shoulder check and certainly a foul, maybe F1, but I don’t agree or like this as an F2. My opinion 👍🏻
