nature + nurture must be the mechanism due to how the known physics of the universe work (unless u believe in magic or souls or whatever), we just don't know the specifics of the mechanism. neurodivergence like autism absolutely adds to the *likelihood* of learning a fetish, but it's still entirely learned vs something innate.
