i don't think it's hypocritical because furry art is a fetish while gerda wegener isn't a fetish. unless you think just painted depictions of sex is a fetish? (it's not). h.r. giger on the other hand is xenophilia, which *is* a fetish! i think a big distinction betwixt art and pornography is one is an avenue of communication while the other is an avenue of hedonism. porn is to art as sex is to romance. it's a raw ingredient that must have more to say than "lol me likey sex" for it to be considered art.
