Yesterday, I handed in my "OpenAI Build Week" submission: youtube.com/watch?v=TdUx2B… Was a lot of fun making the video, though I have no idea at all how to edit or make it look good.

I recently switched from an M2 Pro to an M5 Pro. For me, SwiftUI previews have gotten somewhat faster, but not to the point where I'd call them useable when used in a project with more than 10 or so files. However, whenever a new model comes out, I ask it "pls fix previews" and GPT-5.6 Sol was the first to actually do it! And its approach was something I've not seen before. All of my previews now are pretty much instant, I have zero issues anymore, even in my larger projects! I can't guarantee it will work in any project, but I asked Codex to write down the instructions for how to do this, if you want to have a look 🙂 gist.github.com/SwiftedMind/0c…

Those who have M5 Max/M5 Pro, are SwiftUI previews faster? My current bottleneck on M5 is previews (asking Codex to capture across multiple features at once; renders my Mac unusable and sounding like an airplane engine)

@Barbapapapps Sadly true, I still go back to a UITextView when I want to open an editor with a sheet that should immediately focus the text field. Because I hate the delay that SwiftUI has in these situations

A polished app needs immediate taps in scroll views (delaysContentTouches = false) and the keyboard to animate in sync with view controller transitions. Seven years later, SwiftUI still has no good way to do either.

@ajambrosino Can you add a shortcut to swap between Codex and ChatGPT? And/Or allow to have two windows open, one in Codex and one in ChatGPT mode? That would be awesome!

Today we're making some updates to the ChatGPT desktop app. - previous chats and cloud projects are in the sidebar - chat mode is now lives alongside work mode, not just in quick chat - fixed a bunch of other things

@thsottiaux Love this! But is there a keyboard shortcut that lets us swap between the modes? I couldn't find it

Evening! We’ve gotten lots of great feedback on the new ChatGPT desktop app (which we didn't get totally quite right on the first try), and as a result, we've made some changes. 1/ ChatGPT conversation history and projects are now visible in the sidebar. Also, your Chat and Work history now sync across web, mobile, and desktop. Local tasks still stay on your computer. 2/ You can now easily switch between Chat and Work modes inside ChatGPT on desktop, which is now also consistent with how it shows on web and mobile. 3/ Nothing is changing for users on Codex mode. It's still the OG and best at what it does. And overall we're continuing to fix paper cuts and improve performance, reliability, and efficiency. Keep up the feedback, hope you like the updates!

@thsottiaux For people that use Codex in bursts (weekends or some days off), no 5h limit is much better. But for people working almost 24/7 with it, running many agents in parallel, this could stress the servers maybe and slow down things for people (possibly).

We've had no 5h limit in Codex plus and pro for a few days. Do you think it is better or are you finding it difficult to manage the usage included in the weekly limit effectively? If we were to make this different, what should it look like in an ideal world?

You can now order the Codex Micro online! This is a limited run, so don’t sleep on it. I’ve been building and refining the in app experience for a while and having Codex IRL as a keyboard feel so good! Such a fun collaboration with @work_louder! openai.com/supply/co-lab/…

Wait, did Codex just ship this? @thsottiaux When I "Add to task" it opens an inline comment editor like it does when adding comments on a page in the in-app browser. This is AWESOME!

@thsottiaux When selecting text and adding it to the task, it would be awesome if we could somehow reference it in the prompt we’re writing. I tend to select multiple things in a reply and it’s a bit awkward to always try and tell it which selection I’m talking about 😅

Here you are! Thinking I am about to announce a reset. But no. I’m just scrolling twitter and looking for feedback on ChatGPT Work. What should we improve?

I built an app for Mac that turns the caps lock key into an app switcher. Built entirely with Codex down to the low level system APIs that lack documentation and clear behaviour. It’s incredible. And GPT 5.6 solved issues that 5.5 never did! An incredible model! hyperswitcher.app

Morning. The last 48 hours of Codex and ChatGPT Work have been intense! Three important updates: - Temporarily removing the 5 hour usage limit restriction for all Plus, Business and Pro plans - Rolling out changes that will make GPT 5.6 Sol more efficient across the board and that will be reflected in less usage being used so that it can take you further. Exact impact to be quantified and shared - We hit 6M active users, and are landing a usage reset in the next hour Go do things

I'm updating the onboarding for my Mac app switcher @HyperSwitcherHQ It now contains 2 interactive demos to teach and showcase some of the basic features: opening apps with a hyper key shortcut and window layouts. I hope this will help getting people started more easily! What do you think? #BuildInPublic

ChatGPT Work brings the power of agents to everyone. It works across mobile, web and desktop. We have seen fast adoption within OpenAI and virtually 100% of our staff uses it on a regularly to do everything from finance, recruiting, comms, marketing, product ideation and coordination and so much more.

The new Codex/ChatGPT app looks sleek! I love having ChatGPT and Codex combined in one app and you can even attach a ChatGPT thread to a task! Awesome job @OpenAI @OpenAIDevs @thsottiaux and everyone else on the team! Now the wait for GPT-5.6 begins, I'm usually among the last with these rollouts 🤣

FluidVoice is so close to being perfect for me! It’s incredibly good! Super insane that all of this is fully local! The only thing I am missing is proper auto-formatting. The Fluid-1 model is amazing at polishing up the text, but I don’t really want to manually say “new line, make a list” etc. Wispr Flow and Raycast V2 Dictation do that automatically.

I've been getting a lot of requests to add this feature recently. Notch! Did you guys know FluidVoice already has it? If you're looking for a minimal premium look - You know what to do!
