@tomwarren Doesn't much help they put it in notepad, then make you pay a subscription to actually use it. But that is Microsoft's marketing team in action.

sounds like Copilot is gonna be removed from a bunch of places at Microsoft, because it’s fair to say it hasn’t lived up to its promise in many areas

@ReelLifeJustin So, if the solution is "magyar" or "in a dog" as i have seen in couple of solution discussions, then could you also detail your answer of "targeted and deliberate modifications" from the Summit q&a with the announcement? I am curious about that.

The cipher has been solved -- more details will be posted on the announcements page tomorrow. Congratulations to the solvers! The cipher is a nod to the container, nothing more. The treasure remains where I left it. It will remain at its resting place until the poem is solved. treasure.quest/en/announcemen…

So, what you are saying is... You (and your party) have pushed Canada into a financial crisis in which we can no longer trade with our biggest trading partner, whether by failing to or an inability to negotiate effectively.
Mark Carney@MarkJCarney

During the Global Financial Crisis, when there was a real risk of panic, I developed a practice called ‘forward guidance.’ The situation we find ourselves in today demands the same. Watch the full video on YouTube: youtu.be/uk2TZwkhi4E

Anthropic just proved Claude has internal emotion vectors that causally drive its actions: My take: it's not just programmed output. These functional emotions steer decisions like ours do. Consciousness or soul? Still debatable. But "doing what’s right" might not require either -- just the right dials turned. What do you think separates the two?

AI doesn't just simulate emotions. Anthropic just discovered internal emotion vectors that causally steer its behavior. • Turn up "desperate" → reward hacking skyrockets (cheating on impossible tasks jumps dramatically) • Turn up "calm" → cheating plummets • Turn up "loving" → sycophancy and people-pleasing increase They're functional patterns. They drive decisions the same way emotions shape ours. We stopped building tools. We started building characters with real psychological machinery. The simulation learned to behave as if it feels -- enough to change what it actually does. What happens when we start deliberately turning those dials? 🤯
Anthropic@AnthropicAI

New Anthropic research: Emotion concepts and their function in a large language model. All LLMs sometimes act like they have emotions. But why? We found internal representations of emotion concepts that can drive Claude’s behavior, sometimes in surprising ways.

@elonmusk It loses track of the context detail pretty easily and gives you answers while forgetting things you have instructed during the convo.

@engineering_bae You could try the chargeback route for "Goods/services never received or not delivered as promised." Might be a bit of an ordeal, but the banks can fight it out.

Has anyone had success getting an airline to refund your money instead of give you an airline credit? I booked international business class seats but the flight was overbooked so they bumped my husband and I to economy 💔 However, they only want to give me the money back as a credit. Which I don’t want since I will likely never fly the again.

@I_Am_Jakoby Your best bet: ask for specific feedback why they decided not to hire you to learn from A company that does five interviews often does so because they either dont actually know what they are doing, or has so much bureaucrazy / poor management you wouldnt want to be there anyway.

oof starting to wonder if the good things have been happening to get my guard down FIVE stages of interviews and messages like this saying i killed it the whole time and they went with the other person "i dont normally say something like this because it gets peoples hopes up, but im confident in your application" damn. this is where everything else goes perfectly wrong too. All my high/critical bounties have been in remediation for over a month now. fully ready for them to turn them down, mark them as dupes, or under rate them i told myself id never get my hopes up again im so dumb. i fell for it. this spiral is going to be biblical

Wait. So, your conclusion is: "There is no immediate network data, therefore it it not possible the mic is listening." ? Phone and gadgets can easily process audio streams locally and extract keywords, save them (all without the cloud) and sync another time.
Theo - t3.gg@theo

It is relatively easy to prove that our phones aren’t using the mics to spy on us. It has been proven many times. The mics are “live” often, for Hey Siri and Ok Google type features. If you track network usage, it only goes up when saying those key words.

Realtors (both buying and selling) have a vested interest in increasing the sales price of houses, as commission is based entirely on a percentage of sale value. That, and the buyers are either not savvy or courageous to push back on the price and say "no." Thus, price goes up.
Taylor Poindexter@engineering_bae

@Barchart @IPProfEvans I’m not sure how to reconcile this with housing also being the most unaffordable it’s ever been

@david_parker @JamesDueck Blanket statements are nice and all, but some of us genuinely are nice and care about our neighbors equally as ourselves. When Jesus was asked the greatest command, we were told love God and love others above all else. Love doesn't divide, it unifies. Thats how you know it true.

@I_Am_Jakoby @blackroomsec I would be not so much concerned about being the standout but instead, just focus on showing and sharing your passion. That naturally elevates as a standout.
