i started contributing to ngx_l402 a few months ago and wrote about the early part of that journey on X: x.com/iamthesvn/stat…
since then, @bitshala_org began supporting my work as a dev fellow, and i've shipped a handful of features, fixes and some documentation to make the user's life easy.
my original plan was a single article covering everything I did over the past 3–4 months. however, i kept assuming the reader already knew what nginx was, why l402 matters, . without that context, the post was just a verbose changelog for my maintainer.
so this article is the first in a series that builds from the ground up. even if you never touch the code, you'll walk away knowing something about nginx, its history and architecture.

We're building GDK: the Goose Development Kit for building agentic apps with shared infra instead of reinventing the whole honking runtime.
Let's see what's inside:
orchestration, in-process local models, access to 50+ model providers, routing and dynamic model selection, context, tools, memory, remote execution ...
(hold on, this goose needs a sip of water. whew!)
...automations and scheduling, skills, subagents, code mode, flexible agent loop, slash command infra, and more 🔥
Companies and individual builders will be able to mix and match these building blocks to create purpose-built agentic apps for their own use cases. I'll honk to that!

We're excited to see the next chapter for goose, now a project maintained by Spiral, building on its roots as a credibly neutral, open source platform for agentic AI.
goose is evolving from a single application into a development kit (GDK), empowering a diverse ecosystem of agentic software. The community will soon have access to new integration tools and a flexible platform to build differentiated applications.
The goose reference client will continue to set the bar for advanced user control and demonstrate best practices with every GDK release.
As always, the Goose project remains an open, foundation-governed resource for all builders and organizations.

i kept opening bitcoinsearch.xyz in a new tab every time i needed to look something up and got tired of it. made a browser extension so i could stop opening it like a caveman.
type btc in the address bar and hit tab, or press cmd+shift+k from any page in the browser to get a floating overlay.

Bear in mind that several actual geese will be in attendance. If you see one looking ornery, follow these safety protocols:
1) Don’t run. Geese can smell fear. This could trigger a chase.
2) Face the goose. Keep your eyes locked on the fire in its eyes at all times.
3) Back away slowly. Under no circumstance should you plead with the goose. Geese do not negotiate.
4) Make yourself look bigger. Stand tall and wave your arms around like one of those dancing car dealership balloon guys.
5) Leave the area. Geese can fly and are territorial, sometimes claiming entire states for themselves, so get as far away as you can as fast as you can.

This was super exciting to work on! Local first AI Agents on the edge are here! Got @goose_oss running completely offline on an Android phone.
No cloud. No laptop. The Android app starts a local llama.cpp runtime itself, loads a @googlegemma 4 E2B GGUF model from device storage, and talks to it over 127.0.0.1.
