Most Selenium vs Playwright comparisons talk features. They rarely talk real UI problems. So I wrote one based on actual apps — insurance portals, dashboards, conditional forms. No hype. Just practical trade-offs (Java examples). 👇 codetestpro.wordpress.com/2025/12/11/sel…

@eddiejaoude People with a worrying mindset will worry regardless. Those who adapt to AI’s capabilities and learn to leverage them will excel.

@eddiejaoude I personally don’t use it for simple changes. I do use it for writing comments/Javadocs every time though. I find it super effective.

Day 3 of learning TypeScript 1. Writing functions with typed parameters and return values 2. Refactoring function definitions to make them cleaner and safer 3. Using Type Aliases to create reusable, expressive types 4. Working with ReadOnly and optional properties to write cleaner object types Not rushing, just building small and learning properly.

People talk about quitting Instagram like it’s rehab. I still have it installed, but I use it occasionally to check memes my friends send and close it immediately. Maybe the real win is knowing when to close the app. Guess I’m lucky that way 🙂

@dev_maims True. That “feeling like you know nothing” can actually be a great motivator to keep learning and exploring.

being a developer is crazy: you’re constantly learning, yet constantly feeling like you know nothing.

Day 2 of learning TypeScript 1. Went through the official TypeScript docs and other video resources 2. Explored core primitive types: number, boolean and string typescriptlang.org/docs/handbook/… 3. Practiced everything in the TypeScript Playground. Found it great for experimenting and catching errors 4. Learned why “any” is discouraged, as it disables type checking and removes most of TypeScript’s safety checks Small progress but building a solid foundation.

Day 1 of learning TypeScript. Here’s what I learned today: 1. It does static checking to catch bugs early, helping write more reliable code 2. You often write more code than vanilla JS, but the safety and clarity make it worth it 3. TypeScript is a superset of JavaScript. i.e., it adds types on top of JS Excited to learn more tomorrow.

If you’re a tester in 2026 and still avoiding getting hands on JavaScript, you’re limiting your own growth. Modern tools like Playwright, Cypress, WebDriverIO work well with JavaScript. Testers who know JavaScript can build better frameworks, and stay relevant.

@bossyourday Indeed. In the end, it all boils down to having an enthusiastic mindset and the drive to act.

Success in anything comes down to two things: 1. Willingness to learn 2. Eagerness to work If you can’t do either, you will never do much.

Some test automation frameworks seem more complex than the applications they test. If onboarding a new SDET takes weeks, then understand that your framework is not "advanced". It is actually a liability.

Modern laptops use lithium-ion batteries, so keeping them plugged in at 100% won’t damage them instantly. Once they’re full, charging stops and the laptop runs on the adapter. The real issue is leaving a lithium battery at 100% for long hours, especially with heat. Over time, that slowly reduces battery health. Simple fix: if you’re mostly plugged in, set a charge limit around 80% or unplug once in a while. If you’re always on the move, you are good to go. No issue If you found this helpful, like and repost so others don’t ruin their battery without knowing.

Does keeping a laptop plugged in at 100% while using it ruin the battery??

@nsharma0813 Well said. Boredom can boil down to the choices we make. One can decide to find ways to escape it or cope with it for curiosity to kick in 🙂

Boredom is the gateway to child like curiosity. When you are feeling bored, don’t flip through your phone or switch on TV. Just stay with your boredom, be uncomfortable. And you will start noticing the novelties of life.
