@codyy11_ I think to me this is why giving JJ one more run at it is enticing. If he fails, you get another crack at the QB lottery rather than having to commit serious dollars to like a Kyler Murray

This is exactly why a one year deal with Kyler is enticing..
If the media is right and the Vikings are done with JJ, let Kyler ride this year out, if he's great, do what you should've/could've done with Darnold and franchise tag or extend.

You can tell me Kyler Murray doesn't "fit" with the Vikings because of reasons X,Y,Z but the reality is: If they want the best chance to win in 2026, he's the clear answer by the numbers... (which also may suggest his fit is better than you think)

Our NFL Insiders identify Kyler Murray and Geno Smith as the top (likely) available QBs who would signal competition for J.J. McCarthy but not necessarily displace him in 2026. As we’ve been saying, it’s a very tough needle to thread. Flacco, Tua, Rodgers also fit profile.
