IMHO, the auction itself fixes most of the problems because it would capture value that otherwise is captured by the dark forest. So the dark forest margins are squeezed.

Same for pretty much every single animal. What would a fully-frozen North have to trade with the rest of the world? Not to mention the logistics of trade…
