@chicfryrice 1 Taxes don't pay benefits, Benefits all depends on paid in amount, need & age. 2 We didn't pay into a faulty system, Politicians barrowed trillions from social security, then forgot to repay. 3 We do care that's why we worked & paid into system.

I was told I am entitled and spoiled. Why should my taxes pay for boomer benefits? It’s not my fault they paid into a faulty system. If all boomers are avid savers then they shouldn’t need social security or medicare and can pay their own way. Why should my generation or younger care what happens…if they don’t care if a family of 4 is homeless.

Let's help you out here with some facts. SpaceX, when they focused on Falcon and Dragon development, produced results eventually, if never on time. Falcon is a workhorse, albeit a drastic step backwards from Shuttle, and Dragon is typical 70's era capsule tech. Enter Starship. Initially the ITS, then MCT and BFR before the current moniker. Musk needed to raise billions to develop this napkin drawing rocket, and he did it by promising investors they would be funding the colonization of Mars. The very first billion-dollar round was around the time of the 2015 Guadalajara conference. 11 years later, these VCs have seen none of it come to fruition - AND they've seen the same craft lose the Artemis III human landing contract, the company having delivered NONE of the tech map required to get Starship to the Moon. They're mentally and financially exhausted. Musk tried to placate them with Starlink - a second-rate third-party service provider he promised investors would attract 20 million subscribers in the first year. Many years later, they're at only half that, and the service was never good enough to fill the requirements for the FCC billion dollar grant. The financial model at Starlink? Worse than the one at SolarCity. They're over it. They want their money back. Some return on the $40billion they've thrown at SpaceX to keep the lights on. So we're going to IPO, allowing retail (with no proposed lockout period) to exit their investment on the backs of the retail investor - and that's why Musk has opened 30% to retail instead of the typical 5-10%. And those shares will be gobbled up, only to watch none of the promises Musk made in the past ten years come true in the next 20. Starship is a bust. Starlink represents ever-increasing, neverending CAPEX. The acquisition of XAi saddles them with additional debt and CAPEX expenses - for datacenters that will be obsolete in 5 years. Now Musk is promising datacenter in orbit around the Earth and on the Moon. And people are stupid enough to believe he knows what he's talking about. He doesn't. He never has. SpaceX was lucky to have Tom Mueller cobble together the Falcon system for them using NASA IP access before he ran for the exit ahead of being blamed for Starship's failures. The SpaceX is not an opportunity for retail to invest, nearly so much as it is a chance for the institutions to cash in on their backs. And if you believe otherwise, you're exactly the type Greater Fool that Musk uses to advance his personal agendas and wealth.

We think @SpaceX is a GREAT company. ...but it could be a BAD stock. When Google went public, it was trading at 10x revenue with 240% revenue growth. SpaceX is going public at 125x revenue with 25% growth. (via @profgalloway)
