He was not “literally assaulted” - maybe look up the elements of the crime of “assault”. There are millions of Knicks fans. MILLIONS. A few isolated incidents done by some idiots doesn’t define a fan base and we’ve seen all of this (and worse) before in other cities. There are always going to be a couple of unruly morons - who probably aren’t even real fans and are just caught up in the moment.
