@ZeroDarkKitty He will probably be okay. I had a 10wk old Chow pup who ate a 22lb turkey carcass that still had a lot of the meat on it... bones and all, in less than 3 minutes. It was much larger than her. Anxious night, but okay. Gave her some cooking oil to make it go out smooth.

@IndianaGPA People who've actually experienced wildlife attacks vs disney tourists. black bear=> Spear/E-tool min; griz=> Slug gun, trail carbine, or battle rifle. They flip like a switch, ALWAYS have a plan to kill them on sight and be ready to execute.

People amaze me with how carefree they are around bears. Nature doesn't send warnings, it just flips the switch. I've crossed paths with black bears more than once, and I can tell you, it'll raise the hair on your neck real quick. They're not cartoons or campground mascots. Out there, you're on their terms. Respect that, or you might learn the hard way how fast the wild can remind you who's really in charge. 🐻

@alphafox It never did; in Japan traditionally, it was supposed to mean you had the basic foundation to BEGIN training to fight in a real fight.

I didn't realize this till recently, but literally anyone can get a black belt - it means almost nothing.
