TY for your thoughtful take. I hear you, and as a long time default Signal on Android user, I am also feeling this personally. This was not a quick or easy decision. SMS is both insecure, and on its way out. RCS is coming, which will cause increasing problems... 1/

@signalapp I hope this decision gets revisited. Will be challenging or impossible to get new non-tech-savvy users to join. I set up signal as default text app for my parents; now will need to take it off to avoid confusion.
