Hi Jack :) Yes the first week is definitely a fast. After that, you don't need to fast. What you do is eat 6 times a day; 1 fist is the amount of food, 6 times a day. If extra hungry you can do 2 fists. The key is that you mix what you eat, per a schedule laid out in the book, where you eat fats, protein, carbs, fruit/sugar, veggies. Also cheat days with sweets and/or alcohol. Once in ketosis this method still works and it is easy! Well....kind of easy. I had a hard time understanding the "food mix schedule". My wife understood it (nurse in California) and she made my schedule. It super duper worked :)

I did the book "Crack The Fat Loss Code" and at the same time started a running program. Crack the fat loss code talks about getting your body to a state of ketosis; this is where your body really does burn fat even while you sleep. To do this you have to delete alcohol for the first 3 weeks, and stay under 30 carbs a day for the first week. Then you mix up what you eat, a fist size or 2 fists size meal 6 times a day, mixing in protein, sugar, carbs, fats, per a schedule. You trick your body to not knowing when carbs are coming (ketosis), and you are on your way to losing weight in a way that you can sustain. Then I started a running program at the same time; 4 times in a 7 day week, running in a state park going up a hill trail and back down. 30 mins up, 30 mins down. I didn't kill myself with 2 hour runs, just quick intense runs. I lost 48 pounds in 3.5 months :)

Hi Dani! New follower here :) Your dish looks terrific! What do you call it? Here is how I do my pasta; it's a twist from the Wine Country in Northern California where I live. "Linguine #7 with beef & sausage". Linguine #7 + sauce from scratch: crushed tomatoes sauteed in olive oil, shallot, garlic, basil leaf, red pepper flakes. Pinch of caster sugar & sea salt, glug of red wine, ground beef + ground italian sausage, simmer. Cook the linguine a couple minutes shy of al dente, reserve some pasta water. Then add linguine to the sauce and finish noodle cook, allowing the linguine to absorb the sauce. If you want a little more liquid and to also help combine the flavors add some reserved pasta water. Garnish of fresh cut parsley and sprinkle of grated parm. Waa - laa

Jimmy Fallon says he "can't understand" how Greg Gutfeld gets twice his ratings in the same time slot. "This is the Tonight Show," said Fallon, "It seems a little odd that more people watch something on Fox News." Gutfeld's answer was simple and to the point: "You're not funny, Jimmy. Your jokes are outdated and your guests are leftist quacks." That pretty much sums it up. There's a reason Gutfeld is number one. Follow @17QStorm

Artemis II has reached its maximum distance from Earth. On the far side of the Moon, 252,756 miles away, Reid, Victor, Christina, and Jeremy have now traveled farther from Earth than any humans in history and now begin their journey home. Before they left, they said they hoped this mission would be forgotten, but it will be remembered as the moment people started to believe that America can once again do the near-impossible and change the world. Congratulations to this incredible crew and the entire NASA team, our international and commercial partners, but this mission isn’t over until they’re under safe parachutes, splashing down into the Pacific.

It's always bothered me if I hear someone say they like Trump's policies, but not his personality. Trump has an INCREDIBLE personality AND policies. There will never be another President as amazing as Trump. We must cherish him. Follow: @BoLoudon

🔥 NEW: Fox’s Tyrus NAILS IT on rescue of second airman stranded in Iran: “That decision was his presidency. You understand that if one person had died what this news cycle would have been. If one pilot hadn’t got out, they’d be screaming war crimes and more.” “They knew this was his win because all they could talk about was his language. ‘Did you hear what he said?’ You’re damn right I heard what he said!” “They said it was ‘so uncouth, not traditional and not presidential’. The thing for me is I’ve noticed people who cuss are telling it straight. So now I have a President that speaks the same language I do.” “He was willing to put his career on the line and his own team were saying the risk is high, but he went with his gut. With leadership, that’s the difference between being great when you do things for the people regardless of what it does to you politically. That was a perfect example,” adds @PlanetTyrus
