I like Dalton's Lawyer , Jacob Fendley. His statement did exactly what it was designed to do, protect himself from drama outside of the court that could impact what happens inside the court. Masterclass judo. He is a force to be reckon with. Best lawyer Dalton could have.

Commissioner David Shelton responded to the info graphic we made of him. Harassment never works. Only truth. Excellent work. Round 2. Now we post this exactly: Hey David, - You were arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail in March 2024 for contempt of court because you could not be bothered to show up to your own civil case. You were a sitting county commissioner when they processed you. - Your business Made in the Shade closed. You ignored the court. They came and got you. Same jail Dalton Eatherly is sitting in right now. - Then you got on your official government Facebook account on May 14, 2026, before Eatherly even had a lawyer, and called him a coward, called him stupid, idiotic, and racist, stated as fact that he was reaching for his gun first, and told the public law enforcement should have jailed him months ago. - You were booked for ignoring a judge and then used your government platform to tell the public a man should have been locked up before his trial. Read that again. - When people pushed back with verified court data showing the bail disparity, you called Eatherly a "racist jackass" from your official account and called us "the worst people in the country." Then you said "yawn." - You claim you have "zero influence on the judges" and "nothing to do with the judiciary." You sit on the Montgomery County Commission, the body that funds the DA's office, the sheriff's department, the courts, and the public defender representing Eatherly. You fund the judiciary, David. - You confirmed a special judge is being called in for the hearing. Thank you for that information. - Every statement you made is screenshotted and archived. Every case number in our data is verifiable through the courthouse you fund. Your own booking is verifiable through ClarksvilleNow, March 29, 2024. - Your page is public: facebook.com/dwshelton1 - Tennessee Ethics Commission complaint form: tn.gov/tec/complaints…

(2/2) The role of a criminal defense attorney is to represent people regardless of their race, religion, ideology, or allegations against them. To assume an attorney agrees with the actions of the accused is preposterous. There are good men and women defending people accused of heinous crimes against children every day and there is no assumption that the defense attorney endorses those crimes. This entire case is disturbing. Racism is a terrible thing and it’s a flawed method of thinking. We are all the same race, we just have different skin tones. To a very large extent, people of color in this country have had more challenges and difficulties to face than the vast majority of white folks. To accentuate that point, the United States Supreme Court has decided that law enforcement, particularly ICE, are allowed to make traffic stops based on skin tone. This is commonly referred to as a Kavanaugh stop – occupation, skin tone, and location is enough for a traffic stop to check if someone is a legal resident. The normal standard was there must be reasonable suspicion of unlawful activity. This is a major blow against the freedom that we cherish so dearly. More recently, and just as disturbing, a new decision from the United States Supreme Court may usher in a new era of Gerrymandering. It’s shameful that we’ve regressed so much as a nation that our leaders are allowing State governments to systematically silence minorities and render their votes meaningless. Our leaders think this is acceptable. This is why our country is losing a lot of integrity both domestically and abroad. If Dalton Eatherly is famous for being a racist, it is certainly a symptom of our country’s crisis and not the crisis itself. The anger you feel perhaps would be better directed towards the men and women in charge who continue to encourage and sanction behavior of this nature. When I have been chosen to defend a fellow citizen, I will not back down. I will not cower in the face of adversity. I will not be silenced by popular opinion. It is a right entitled to each one of us by the Constitution. I will fight for the people of our nation until I cannot fight anymore. Jake Fendley

@ArchetypeTheory He has now responded about this on Facebook with a torrent of boomerslop

Chud escalated a verbal argument by reaching for and drawing his gun first in a bladed stance, then fired, precisely as described in the police affidavit and confirmed by surveillance footage. That conduct is unlawful. Under Tennessee law and stand-your-ground statutes, you cannot claim legitimate self-defense when you are the initial aggressor who introduced deadly force.
