Unbelievable season for the Habs, team is clearly ascendant. And yet the key difference makers for Carolina are just as young as Montreal’s best guys, + the margin between the 2 teams was massive. A season of progress that also underlined the massive distance still to travel.

Don't think the people want to hear this but the 2026 Montreal Canadiens look like the worst team to make the conference finals this decade. Young core is gonna to be great but it's nuts they haven't looked like the better team once this playoffs

Not saying that’s true but 1 embellishment call might mean he has a more where the ref gave him the benefit of the doubt and looked bad.

Sucks for Buffalo. I felt like they were the better team, not just in this game, but in the series. With enough trade deadline juice they might have pushed through. Still, Buffalo vs. Montreal delivered on the whole, which is more than can be said for most of these series so far.

Both Josh Anderson and Juraj Slafkovsky finished last night's game despite leavng at different points. Asked Martin St. Louis if both are guaranteed to be available to play Game 5, and he says he has no indication they wouldn't be. Expect them to play.
