In Town at 6.30 is the story of Nether Edge, an amazing tale of a part of Sheffield that five years ago formed battalions, including a French magician up a tree to go to war.

Thanks SO much to the wonderful people of Nether Edge, where we recorded the last ‘In Town’ of the series. Their story of a community battling to save their trees is glorious, and a special mention for Benoit the French magician, mon sorcier activiste préfère.

The stadium is ready for the opening ceremony of a new In Town series that starts tonight on Radio 4 at 6.30. In 6 weeks the 45 minute versions will be on BBC Sounds. The towns are Margate, Malvern, Stoke, East Grinstead, Coleraine and Nether Edge in Sheffield. What a tour!!!
