RIP Mary Rand, first British woman to win Olympic gold in track and field (the long jump, Tokyo, 1964). At the same Games, she won silver in the Pentathlon and bronze in the 4×100m relay. She kicked in the doors for generations of athletes who followed.

It was a great session building independence, following instructions and having fun together (with some tasty results too 😋💛). 💛🧠 Learning About Personal Space & Boundaries Last week at our Wellbeing Group, young people took part in an important session focused on personal space and boundaries. They started by using hula hoops to help visualise what personal space looks like, before moving around the hall and practising how to stay aware of others without getting too close. The group then completed a “boundary hand” activity, helping them explore what they are comfortable with, how to recognise their own boundaries, and ways to confidently and respectfully say no. Fun fact: In cat world being the one that grooms the other one means they're the boss. In bunny world it's the other way round - the one being groomed is the boss. So they both are thinking they're the boss.
