From top left to bottom right: Metal Gear Solid 4 Guns of the Patriots (Re-release coming this summer on all platforms!), GTA IV Lost & Damned, Need For Speed Most wanted & Fallout 3. as of right now? You need a PS3 or PS3 emulator on a pretty high powered PC to enjoy. Keep track of re-release here! mgs4.site

Pay close attention to the wording. Players. This game came out on multiple platforms. Introductory gamepass is like $15 a month? You only need to have downloaded the title to be counted as a player, Zero purchases required. Since it's also on steam on launch and a prefered storefront, We can go off the 197K players who actually purchased the game. Under half a million sales seems about right for a hyped up gamepass title. I'm positive Oblivion remastered that got shadow dropped (released when announced) also had 5 Million players too but we know the quality of that title. Lot's more people on PC/Handheld systems designed for Gamepass along with anyone who owns a series x? They'll wanna play this since they've had nothing since summer last year. So say you get a 7 day free trial to try out Gamepass on PC? You can download it, play for 5 days, cancel trial and that'll still also count you in as a player. How many owners? Now that's a statistic more confident publishers go for. Like i think we had 4.5 million RDR2 sales for example. Players, nor owners really define quality. This is their first big title of the year i believe so curiosity is peaked. There's homies even playing this on a phone via game pass streaming that are counted as players now too lol

A bug so iconic, Rockstar intentionally left it in all builds of the game including anniversary re-releases. Sam houser actually remarked that they initially planned to remove the rage physics swingset bug but people reacted so warmly to the glitch online, they actually kept it intact. They planned and more importantly. Had the knowledge to fix it more than a decade ago. I thought FH had at least damage? lmao. GTA is a hell of a mighty title to compare it with. The fact you can even score points for that is insane... Usually crashes nullify that. You are aware, GTA isn't midnight club? You can actually exit the vehicle, Run and walk, do missions, shoot guns, play sports and even Fly. I mean it's pretty endless how many mechanics had to be coded in a game with only 512mb of shared Ram available. You can even deep sea dive in GTA V for goodness sake lol Horrible comparison. L take.

You've got a very good theory there. It certainly seems like a hitbox error, especially with the rim itself clipping into the curb as you can see through the spokes. It does seem more like collision is assigned to the low poly version instead. Although we'd really need to compare each LOD of the curb to find that out, lower LOD shouldn't make a physical object smaller. Combined with why you'd do that? well we have different materials types, I'm curious to know if curbs are accounted for or merely is it the line, where developers switch from road to pavement/grass & dirt. It'd be amazing to analyze the internal hitboxes onscreen. It should be easy to fix if it was just assigned to the wrong geometry. That seems counterintuitive though. Like usually LOD's start with the highest first, Tie the main model to the Collision to react to said road surface then usually a tool is utilized with blender to automatically downscale each LOD transition. You could do it manually or even in-engine although this has been an issue in every single FH title since 4. I almost wonder if it's an engine level issue. Forza Motorsports while lacking in some places, Didn't have this same issue we're having in all the Horizon titles. It was much more snappy with it's physics especially with rumble strip corners shaking the dampeners. It almost seems to me like it might be running at a slower internal tick rate instead, i'd presume for example only 30 ticks? Then perhaps this visual bug doesn't show up on main 30fps mode over on Series X and is an issue with higher frame rates that usually require higher tick rates. I know that usually also causes a mismatch/delay online and is very similar to what we're seeing. Would be worth testing out perhaps?

@ColinEspMusic @_alakay @quantumleapX01 @TheCanadianGTR So it could be that maybe the collision is tied to a low poly distant version of the curb model, and that they didn’t scale it to match at different LOD’s of the curbs meaning that the underlying geometry isn’t set to this particular version of the model.

Not sure if you use a wheel rig or not (for racing sims) but Forza is notoriously terrible on wheel/pedals. I knew it had to be a lack of tyre simulation physics all the way back to FH4. we've got games now with 3 point wheel physics (outer, middle, inner, same way the Rage engine wheel physics worked it out) With FH? It doesn't account for balance or load of seperate rims/tire. Making it neigh impossible to play with a wheel rig, You literally go faster with a Controller with only 15 degrees of angle lmao. Games even like the dated GT7? You switch to wheel and you're going to see real time improvements once you're familiar with it due to having a super accurate 900 degrees of steering to utilze. Not with Forza though. Even their "sim" reboot sucked ass with tyres back in 24'. Turn ten are famous for taking all realism out for false positive gains (drifting missions where the game turns all npc's into semi transparent ghosts so you don't even need to swerve is one shining example of that) As you said. Multi billion dollar company btw. Blows my mind like a shotgun.

@NokkEnjoyer @OrtizYohnny Totally bro, Not like GT represented anything special for the last few years. Hell What does 24hrs of Nurburgring mean anyway?! /s GT have massive influence in motorsports. Sure it's old now but GT Academy is bringing drivers out the game and onto the track year after year.

Mad part is. They don't seem to be stationary. They've got legs that work when it's not lifting stuff, You see a bunch of them in a line in photos behind them? Those are the hubs they walk back to every 2hrs to charge up. So you've also got the bots taking up factory space with their chargers, then implementing those docks? That'd be next level expensive compared to a set of auto rollers at Amazon or even, a single human lol. They can actually walk but apparently not while working, only just seen them head back to their hub to charge. No work required it to walk from what i noticed and that's important imo. The hubs themselves? They've got to be 100% hardlined and taking up 1m squared since carrying power and any data (i'd imagine the hub would be where you assign them new tasks/firmware updates) Lots more power output needed now. So they take up 4 times the room as one worker, also have a semi-permanent high voltage electrical presence in a factory setting so that's square floor space lost for good. Especially if they only last 2 hours wireless? I don't see it being a thing for even Amazon who are all about optimising warehouse space. They're slower working as a group than 1 human who had to account for all their needs. He just didn't need to walk back to a hub and charge. Eat and drink sure? but even then, the guy with no experience in packing was better than 4+ bots in a controlled test. (Today they finished the test and the human was ahead) Still no one on these posts talking about charge times either! It's all very hype with no substance.

@ColinEspMusic @chrisgpt Seems like a poor implementation. If this robot is stationary, they could alleviate this issue by having a hardwired power supply.

I don't see many talking about the chargability of these things. Anyone watching the stream would've known they only get 2hrs on a charge then have to swap out (Thats why the bots got a name tag, jim, bob etc) You need 4 bots/charging space hubs for a job rollers could achieve itself. not fair having 4 bots take on one human and still was slower. We need it to be a proper 1:1 test including charge time if we take toilet breaks into account. Humans don't need to charge for hours in a hub. Hell these automatic belt rollers? They'll get it to the conveyer belt by themselves with a little blue pulley wire.

Honestly not impressed, first of all what's to say this isn't someone teleoperating the bot and second of all this is still relatively simplistic of a task compare to most jobs out there. Sure this will help replace people at UPS, FedEx, USPS and possibly Amazon but that's about it.
