@SaiyajinGhost @cerny @jackhuynh @AMD So what I’m asking for is quality control for the PS5 as a platform which only allows games in 2026 and onwards to have games achieve at least FSR 3-3.1 quality as a bare minimum. The way it is now, devs can implement FSR 1 level solutions, there’s no restrictions/incentives.

@SaiyajinGhost @cerny @jackhuynh @AMD By at least pushing for the limit of the upscaling tech the PS5 can produce across the board on the industry, it would stop devs from being able to implement outdated solutions.

Just tried FSR Upscaling 4.1 in a few PC games. It’s based on the same neural network as the upgraded PSSR we released for PS5 Pro… and it looks stunning! Wonderful working with @jackhuynh and the @AMD team as we collaborate on AI graphics tech. Big win for Project Amethyst :-)

@iandrian4ik @cerny @jackhuynh @AMD Exceptions to the rule are not the rule. Yotei is one of the few games that do. Most games use in house built in TAA solutions. Which are “comparable” to FSR 3 except they’re not. They have way more artefacts, they’re blurrier, more ghosted, and noisy than FSR 3.

Crimson Desert launched without support for Intel Arc GPUs. The game won't boot on any Arc card. Pearl Abyss says they are not planning to support it and told people to ask for refunds.

@censorshipf475 @Pirat_Nation Nvidia GPUs are 95% of the consumer GPU market. AMD is probably 4-5% that means Intel is less than 1% of the market. Yeah it’s highly unlikely you would’ve been affected by this (though this shouldn’t be the case in the first place) so your argument is retarded.

@cerny @jackhuynh @AMD So when are you going to add FSR 3 upscaling to PS5 on a firmware level? The hardware supports it. Just the upscaling, not frame generation, JUST the upscaling so games don’t use FSR 1 on the base PS5 which looks WAY worse than FSR 3.

A lot of people seem to be confused on the new PSSR update and which games use it, here's how it works: Many games got updated to have the new PSSR, BUT you can enable a system-wide auto PSSR update in the settings that applies to all PSSR 1 games, no update needed.
