@itsginnydi I'm a forever DM. Some of my NPCs would like me and some wouldn't. That's just how the world works. To be fair, the feeling is mutual.

So far, I’ve heard some negative things about the D&D movie. Mainly that “the men are portrayed as little bitches” and “it’s just a cliche found family trope” So what I’m hearing is, I’m going to relate to this movie, it doesn’t have toxic masculine stereotypes, and I’m probably going to love it? Sign me up! Y’all are selling me on it!

@GabeJamesGames Fate doesn't have resurrection mechanics by default... But it's also really hard to die in that game (if you're a PC) so you might not need them ever.

@Owen_Stephens I own this set of dice. I use them weekly.

You buy new dice for a new RPG campaign. When anyone else rolls them, the results are typical. When you roll them, they are *always* amazingly good. There's no sign of tampering or bias in experiments. Do you keep using the dice?

I had not realized how much of my "gaming attention" has been getting eaten up by #DnD and #WotC these last couple years. I'm excited to finish up my current campaigns and move on to something different for completely new experiences. #PlayingNewGames2023

Finally, not an OSR title but absolutely deserves a callout, @EvilHatOfficial will be releasing a supplement for Blades in the Dark sometime soon called Dagger Isles and I could not be more stoked to read that bad boy!

As long as D&D remains in the stewardship of a publicly traded company, we can expect that moves like @Hasbro and @Wizards_DnD attempt to deauthorize the OGL will continue. It's only a question of when, not if. I'll still be moving away from D&D for a little while.

@mattcolville @srhall79 Hell yeah! Always loved how much Prestige Classes felt like a narrative reward for fun builds and cool stories and would love to see them return. Didn't like how they kinda got out of hand after a few years of content bloat (similar to sub-classes).

@srhall79 Agility + certainly. Could be some Shadows are Reason, some are Intuition? We don't know how subclasses work, or if there even are any! Could be something like Prestige classes?

@ColinMatter One bit of wisdom I cling to: the words of a friend who, against the calling of his heart to be a musician & music teacher, became an energy consultant so he would be sure of a “livable income”. He found it more miserable by far to hate the “livable” career that was joyless.

Do you ever look at your life and the world and think "Oh hey, in different timeline, I do /this other thing/!" What is it? What is alternate you doing?

@itsginnydi Anecdote: This for real happened to my sister once, in a car (sunroof open), on the way to the beach. "Low stakes," maybe not accurate in her case as it's now an actual fear that it will happen again.🤣😅😬
