@ciarannugent Actually it's being eaten up by grid constraints. Do your research man or stop commenting on stuff you know nothing about. 13% of potential generation lost due to dispatch down orders in 2025

@ciarannugent You are right. It is driven by SNSP limits on the grid. We need a far greater synchronous generation share on the grid. Solar panels aren't helping balance the grid

@ciarannugent So you're saying if a Muslim was randomly stabbed on the street simply because they are Muslim, the media would cover it? 🤔 Can you give an example?

If there was a violent assault on Muslims in the UK, it would never occur to anyone in the media to cover it in the first place They've erased the Muslim victim in the exact same story under discussion
Ian O'Doherty@OdohertyI64991

If there was a violent assault on Muslims in the UK, it would never occur to anyone to mention the conduct of a Muslim country - because that would just be really stupid But Jews? Apparently they all bear collective responsibility for the actions of a foreign government.

@BarryAndrewsMEP @thejournal_ie @fiannafailparty @Renew_Press You don't need to rely on some green data analyst to work out the power generation share in Ireland as eirgrid already collate it. And a simple check of this would have told you on Paddy's day it was 66% renewables not 90%. Please correct the article!

Deportation madness Deportion flight in January cost taxpayer €151,000 for 33 foreign criminals , 20 straight from prison Those on board had 1,000 criminal charges between them for sex offences, drug supply and organised crime. "Along with gardaí there was a human rights monitor, a translator. and a medical team on board."

@ciarannugent @greyfox_gaming1 Tidal? You really are moronic. The total world production of tidal energy is approximately 0.5GW. even if Ireland doubled the world total it wouldnt replace a small ccgt plant

@greyfox_gaming1 Price pressures are short term. No other comparable island has nuclear or planning any as far as I know. Taiwan just discontinued nuclear in its entirety. It's untested, long construction, short lifespan, so many issues around decommissioning and waste Solar, wind, R&D in tidal

Any nuclear project in Ireland is 15 years and a 'national children's hospital' away Just increase grants for solar already....no interest loans......proper feed in tariffs...options to rent roof space.....compel landlords to install .....and stop building data centres
Business Post@businessposthq

A new law to reverse the ban on nuclear energy in Ireland will be introduced to the Dáil by Fianna Fáil TD James O’Connor, the Business Post has learned. businesspost.ie/api/oc-post/?u…

@ciarannugent Yeah that will solve it. The drop off in demand at night is pretty minimal but the drop in solar production is 100%. But sure keep your head in the sand mate

Irish making a spectacle of themselves in Britain this week... Fr Ted creator Graham Linehan wins an appeal against a criminal conviction Moloko lead singer Roisin Murphy highly-regarded (in Britain and online) speech at a House of Lords event Journalist Helen Joyce and her book 'Trans: When Ideology meets Reality ' named in the Top 25 Times list of non-fiction for the 21st century You'd think this concurrence might merit a word or two in our Sunday press.

Non-EEA adults in emergency accommodation are up 81% in 26 months. Yesterday, Kitty Holland wrote an article quoting the IPAS Head saying the "vast majority” leaving direct provision don’t enter homelessness. This completely misses the point...even a minority leaving IPAS can overwhelm the system. And its costing BILLIONS. No one is talking about this.
