This is just silly. In a predominantly white country it shouldn’t be a ‘red flag’ to see a largely white cast. Some people ask what ‘woke’ is, this a perfect example of it.
Jeremy Vine & Daytime on 5@JeremyVineOn5

It's time we addressed all of the red flags in Love Actually. 🚩Nearly everyone is white 🚩Mark is clearly a stalker 🚩All the couples are straight 🚩They fat shame Natalie 🚩All the women seem controlled by men Is it time to stop watching it? @theJeremyVine | #JeremyVine

I hate getting the question, "What do you do?" within 5 mins of meeting someone. It's as if my occupation will determine if I'm worthy of a conversation

Re: Bakhmut, considering that both Western think-tanks and Ukrainian government officials have suddenly started claiming that the city holds no strategic value at all and Russia wouldn't gain anything by capturing it, the situation for AFU must, indeed, be pretty bad.

While most of Xi Jinping’s life story remains a secret, what we do know is troubling. Now that he exercises unchecked power in China, we must confront the question: Just how emotionally stable and rational is he? Here is a glimpse into his traumatic past. 19fortyfive.com/2022/12/does-c…

The EU’s in trouble. They continue pushing these price caps on Russian oil, supposedly to take effect after tomorrow. But Russia is literally not going to sell oil at below market value. Period. End of story. So countries pushing this will simply get none-in the middle of winter.

This price cap idea is idiotic. Go to the nearest supermarket in your area and tell the owner that you reached an agreement with your family on how much you want to pay for, let's say, his bread. He will tell you to stuff off and never come back!

@stephenwertheim @nytopinion Defense industry and Pentagon are laughing all the way to the bank over arms to Ukraine. The Pentagon is ecstatic that they are getting rid of their old stock, and is being replaced by the latest and greatest gadgets. Putin has lost the war. Long live Putin and his regime.

Netherlands beat the U.S. 3-1, knocking them out the #FIFAWorldCup. First time I’ve ever seen the US leave an Arab country voluntarily.

I am sick to my stomach. Look at this Israeli executing Ammar Mufleh, 22, after already shooting him three times. He puts a fourth bullet in him while he is already on the ground.
Muhammad Shehada@muhammadshehad2

4\ The last shot the Israeli soldier fired at Ammar was while he was lying down on the ground motionless, to make sure he wouldn't make it. This is a typical extrajudicial execution case! Israel's police commissioner praised the soldier's conduct!

After a fall of the regime China’s democratisation would be fraught with peril. It could lead to the breakup of the central state (Yugoslavia 2.0). But it could also result in a federation of democratic Chinese states. This would free Hong Kong & prevent an annexation of Taiwan.
