The Chicago White Sox have acquired left-handed pitcher Joe Rock from the Tampa Bay Rays in exchange for infielder Oliver Dunn. Rock has been optioned to Class AAA Charlotte. To make room for Rock on the 40-man roster, the White Sox have transferred catcher Kyle Teel to the 60-day injured list.

Eventually someone will get hurt and Gonzalez will get his chance. Or perhaps equally as likely, he'll start playing like he has his entire professional career prior to a month ago and fall back to earth.

@bonballers @bbbbjjjjss @Akermaniac @Mariners The call on the field was he caught the ball. If that's the call, Pereda who was hung out to dry watching between 1st and 2nd should have been called out when he was doubled off 1st. Can't have it both ways. And he definitely was seeking contact

Undecided on the interference but the base runner definitely was seeking contact. Regardless, never should have happened because the inning should have been over

Antonacci is the 2B. He moved out of position and right into the basepath. I was mostly joking about saying it’s bush league but after intentionally dropping the line drive that’s a couple amateur plays you won’t get away with in the majors

@JamesFox917 Sure, but hand the guy $160M now, with presumably the final 2 seasons buying out FA at $30M+ each and the risk just isn't worth the reward imo. Dudes get complacent with that kind of cash. Colson isnt Yoan or Eloy, but I just would let this one marinate a bit more. No rush imo

Fine seeing what the next few months have in store, but this team isn't winning anything while he is under contract. It would be a completely different story if he were a typical rookie with 6 yrs of control

One of the big reasons this offense is doing good is because Mune provides a very reliable bat, he needs to be in the lineup every game. You cant just trade every good player, this team needs reliable bats

Confused on people wondering if the Sox are going to trade Mune/Montgomery/other good players on this team?
It’s year 4 of the rebuild, most of our top prospects are in AA, AAA, or here. If you have a good player at the position, you keep them no matter what
