So hard to tweet this. A medical floor has 2 nurses for 31 patients. This is unsafe & impossible to meet all patient care needs. Care will be compromised. People will wait. Med errors may happen. Patients may fall. The nurses are stressed beyond measure. This is Ontario #onhealth

Given this, all those who can must walk the line for (with) them.

My very favourite coffee FINALLY has a decaf version and my best friend mailed me two bags of it for my birthday and I “splurged” on a very well-designed pour-over so I am having the *best* cup of coffee right now and I am so happy.

This is amazing! I have been in spaces where people can bring their own "baby buddy" for free but never one that provides the buddy! I would absolutely volunteer for this!

But also, if you are in Saskatchewan please find somewhere secure to be and don't open doors to people you don't know and don't share police locations.

In moments like these I am left unsure of what to do except to pray for the communities, the families, the friends, the injured, the healthcare workers and the loved people who were murdered. Pray for healing, for strength, for comfort. cbc.ca/news/canada/sa…

@kurtzmckinnon I do have a massage therapist I should book with and intended to but forgot, thank you for the needed reminder! I went back to a yoga practice today and discovered just how tight everything is right now and honestly, noticing that helped me give myself a break!

@Colleen2233 Hmmmm how about getting a massage? Although once the masseuse almost laughed me off the table after camp because she found so much tension in my neck that I didn’t even realize I had!!

Struggling with post-camp rest this year. Last year that was the only option, I literally couldn't do any more. This year I'm feeling pretty good coming off camp and it is easier to ignore the exhaustion. Struggling with how to rest anyway.

Thrilled to see that the @NiagaraParks powerstation washroom is an all-gender washroom! Awesome!

@thiskatetaylor I feel this SO HARD! Our teen camp did a karaoke night this year and all our CDs are the stuff I listened to as teens and they kept calling it "old" and "retro", so I got them back by CRUSHING THEM at a Destiny's Child song :P

One of my management staff just told me they weren't born yet when "I Want It That Way" came out 😭

It's Wednesday and it's hard and I'm exhausted and I need any of my #campdirector friends to cheer me on a little because I'm running low on just about everything right now (sleep, showers, time, patience, energy, creativity, problem-solving capacity, the list goes on)

What was it that finally got our chaos cabin to sleep tonight? 6 rounds of the song Mosquitos and the Bed bugs getting progressively slower and quieter. Is this song a lullaby? Nope! Did it work? Turns out yes

I can't say much in details (yet) but tonight was one of my best nights as a Camp Director!!

Today I set my "out of office" auto-reply to let people know that I won't be as inbox-available for the next 24 days as I start staff training at camp. A) h/t to @kurtzmckinnon for the suggestion and b) #CampPros plz send good vibes 😅😅😅

But they are young, they didn't come up with themselves. All I (we) can do is hope, teach and pray, and remember the many who hope, teach and pray alongside us.

Yesterday was hard, had a group of students where some were just not interested in the health of the planet and only saw it in mechanistic ways of service to humans. So many young people I work with care so deeply about our planet it was a jolt to come up against this.
