This week, Israel’s Defense Minister said Israel would occupy the area south of the Litani River in Lebanon, where hundreds of thousands of people live, and that Shia residents that were forced to leave under Israeli displacement orders will not be allowed to return “until security for Israel’s northern residents is ensured.” That area is around 8% of Lebanon’s territory and is larger than Bahrain, New York City or Singapore. It is twice the size of Gaza.

Dr. and Prof. Muhammad Khalil Abu Tariq, a specialist of Therapeutic Nutrition, was badly injured when iof struck his tent in Al Zawiyda, central Gaza Strip. The kind doctor suffered from his injuries for a week before passing away.

Despite the rain and cold weather, we finished distributing 50 packages to 50 families. Each package contained a can of baby formula, diapers, shampoo, and baby wipes. The happiness of the children and their parents, and their prayers for my friend who donated and for us, filled our hearts with joy, Alhamdoulillah 🙏💜

After three days of searching through markets and traveling to Deir al-Balah just to find baby formula, diapers, baby shampoo, and baby wipes, we finally managed to secure these essential items. We were able to prepare 50 packages for 50 families with children. Because the crossings are closed, these items are extremely expensive and very hard to find. That’s why this initiative means so much to us. If the U.S. controlled the Straight of Hormuz, the world's energy crisis would get FAR WORSE, because Trump would block all energy shipments to China and would use control of the Strait as a means of punitive leverage against nations (like India, South Korea, Japan or Taiwan) that failed to demonstrate sufficient obedience to Trump's demands.
If you think Iran's current restrictions on energy transportation are bad, it would be far, far worse under U.S. control, as repeatedly demonstrated by the way the U.S. weaponizes the SWIFT inter-bank financial transfer system to punish selected nations like Russia, Iran and Cuba.
