A wildfire near the Collier/Lee County line has burned about 35 acres, located 3 mi N of the Esplanade community. North Collier Fire Rescue currently expects no direct impact to populated areas, and the CCSO helicopter is helping with fire suppression in hard-to-reach locations.

The prescribed burn is positioned east of Naples and south of Interstate 75. The northern boundary is 56th Avenue Southeast, the west boundary is Miller Boulevard, and the southern boundary is 64th Avenue Southeast.
