Small lockdown project. Making a new interior light for my little boat. Found a 1970’s NOS light in a box, cut a round that turned out to be beech rather than ‘light teak’ 😂 and 7 coats of varnish. I’ll fit it once it warms up a bit. #teddington #boating #twickenham #chandlery

@danwwalker @lightoverwater @ThamesTradesmen @CygnetRC @BBLRC That pile has been there ever since I can remember, I did a safety boat job there in 1978, normally caused by a solitary tree/ tree branch that settles and then over the years builds up.

@Collierlaunches @lightoverwater @ThamesTradesmen @CygnetRC @BBLRC Really referring to the debris that has built up against the bridge pier on the Surrey side - concerned the piles for this footbridge may result in the same situation - i.e. inside of the bend, slow water further slowed by the obstruction

@danwwalker @lightoverwater @ThamesTradesmen @CygnetRC @BBLRC The pile up of debris from say Furnival to Corinthians is because you are in the bight of the river both flood and ebb. You will always have debris.

@lightoverwater @ThamesTradesmen @CygnetRC @BBLRC I saw them working on this today - have you seen a final plan for this? Somewhat concerned that piles on that side might build up a pile of debris like we have upstream of Hammersmith Bridge
