Really great read this series from @AlanEnglish9 Mad to look back on such a wild time in local newspaper industry, and the fall out of it all, especially for those of us who worked in it at the time.

@anspailpin Must be the greatest job in the world, getting to sift through those archives and put together shows like that - you’d end up down some rabbit hole.

BBC4 are showing one of those random music clip shows from their enormous archive and it's fantastic. John Martyn singing Sweet Little Mystery, Glynis Johns singing Send in the Clowns - that sort of stuff. More Old Grey Whistle Test than TOTP, but no less excellent for that.

Championship Saturday took me to @Ardagh_GAA today in the @MayoGAA Junior Championship. Fantastic ground, huge crowd and an entertaining game too. Can’t beat knock-out championship football at this time of year #mayogaa
