Democrats are calling SB26-150 a reform, but in reality, it means more government control, higher costs, and less accountability to voters. The bill would replace elected RTD board members with political appointees, giving the governor more power over a system that should answer to the people. It would also triple board salaries and add more bureaucracy, even as families are already dealing with rising costs. We should focus on fixing roads, improving service, and cutting waste instead of giving more control to bureaucrats. 🚨 HUGE WIN for Lakewood—Now it’s time for ADAMS COUNTY to wake up! 🚨 The preliminary results from yesterday’s special election in Lakewood are in, and the message is loud and clear: Voters REJECTED the hyper-urbanization of their neighborhoods. By a massive margin, residents voted to repeal the zoning codes that would have forced high-density duplexes and apartments into single-family areas. 📉🏡 But while Lakewood is fighting back, the Adams County Commissioners are leading the same radical charge right here in our backyard. Despite our clear objectives to preserve our community's character, local Democrats are pushing to "hyper-urbanize" Adams County. We've seen these same destructive efforts from figures like Jacque Phillips, who have consistently pushed policies that would fundamentally alter our way of life. Thankfully, the conservatives on the Thornton City Council stood their ground and rejected those efforts, protecting our neighborhoods from overdevelopment. The Lakewood lesson is simple: Infrastructure matters. 🚗 Traffic matters. 🚦 Local voices matter more than state mandates. 🗣️ Our commissioners need to stop ignoring us and start looking at what happened in Lakewood. Unbelievable. A 16-year-old was caught flying through a 35-MPH construction zone at 100 MPH in Commerce City—with no license, no insurance, and his 12-year-old brother in the passenger seat. Even more shocking? The mother showed up and defended it, claiming he "had to" drive to school. The vehicle was impounded, but the teen walked away with a citation for reckless driving instead of the felony child abuse charges that putting a 12-year-old in a 100-MPH "deadly weapon" deserves. This is the inevitable result of the "Soft on Crime" culture championed by modern Democrats. When you spend years weakening the authority of police, prioritizing "equity" over enforcement, and treating serious offenses like minor suggestions, you foster a culture of total lawlessness. From Denver to the suburbs, we are seeing the consequences of a system that cares more about the "extenuating circumstances" of the criminal than the safety of the public. If there are no real consequences for endangering children and workers in a construction zone, why would anyone follow the law? They are shrinking the elected RTD board from 15 members down to just 9, with only 5 still elected by voters and 4 powerful seats handed directly to Governor-appointed insiders who must be confirmed by the Senate. All while RTD struggles with low ridership, massive budget problems, and poor paratransit service for riders with disabilities. Instead of fixing the broken system with real voter accountability, Dems are replacing elected board members with appointed ones and raising salaries to $36,000 a year plus extra for the chair.

Denver nurse Allyssa K. posted this video celebrating the idea of President Trump dying on Easter, saying ‘nothing would give me more joy…the universe never ceases to amaze me’ with her usual “clotsandprayers” hashtag. As a healthcare professional, this is disturbing on multiple levels — wishing death on anyone, especially on a major Christian holiday. Can anyone who politically disagrees with her truly feel safe with her as their nurse? Nurses are supposed to preserve life, not cheer for death. Thoughts?
