This is literally insane Man moved to a rural town of Hidalgo, Mexico He learned that half the people from the town are living in Springdale, Arkansas I looked into why. They’re all working at Tyson foods, Walmart HQ, etc and Springdale Arkansas is now 42% Mexicans So many people from this small town are in America working that if they all came back at the same time there wouldn’t be enough places for them to stay This is why Americans can’t find jobs. We are completely overrun with foreigner cheap labor And this is a well documented thing Rural areas in states like Hidalgo, Michoacán, Jalisco, and others in central Mexico have long histories of economic migration to the US They all come over here illegally or legally on Visas and take our jobs They’re called chain migration networks. People from the same hometown cluster together, send remittances home, and sponsor more relatives. Entire social networks from one Mexican town now live in Springdale Absolutely insane. Send them ALL back. We have been completely sold out

People that like standard time are strange folks. Is there actually people that like it dark at 8:00 all summer? And 5:30 in the winter? Permanent daylights savings is the answer.

People are not getting this. In January, most of the country gets roughly 9–10 hours of daylight no matter what we call the clock. This happens often with my bins because I live on a popular walk route next to a small pond. And then get left with a bin that has bags of poop that weren’t completely tied so they leak and bake inside the bin while it sits in the sun. I can no longer store my bin in the garage because it reeks, and I have to regularly clean it out because it gets dog poop caked on the inside. It’s absolutely rude. Government schools spend $21,456 per child per year. Imagine if that money went directly to families instead. A teacher could set up a microschool with just 14 students and pull in $300,384 a year.

Permanent Daylight Saving Time sounds nice until winter shows up. Across much of America, that means kids waiting for buses in the dark, people commuting in the dark, and millions starting their day before sunrise for weeks. Your body needs morning light to regulate sleep, mood, alertness, and health. We already tried year-round DST in 1974. People hated the dark winter mornings. Extra evening daylight is nice.
