@belfaststephen @frank_broadcast @Translink_NI They have enough to cover more regular journeys during the week So they should've been able to provide a more regular service than every hour or put on more carriages. Dunmurry is less than 6 miles from the city centre They've known about this for a year Bad management 🤬

Has @Translink_NI failed you on route to The Fleadh? Parents with prams being refused due to packed train from Portadown. Train only had three carriages on possibily the busiest weekend of the year? Why such a short train? Advice is use public transport! Why limited carriages?

@CMacgafraidh @frank_broadcast @Translink_NI You can't expect a big event to have normal Sunday travellers, that's just bad planning on Translinks part They had less trains and may have got less flax if they'd put in 6 carriages. They been talking about the 6 carriage increase for this last 5 years. Should've been today

@frank_broadcast @Translink_NI Quite simple why Frank Because it’s an Irish culture event, therefore linked to nationalism and catholics. I mean it’s hardly surprising given where majority of the stations are. Bigotry pure and simple

@frank_broadcast @Translink_NI I ended up going and getting the car to drive down and back, meant I was only drinking Guinness 0.0 Especially bad on the opening day, should have had more carriages and more regular service

@frank_broadcast @Translink_NI That was my view also Still a Sunday service and there were around 60 to 70 ppl at my station (Dunmurry), only about 5 ppl could get on. 3 carriages and next train was an hour later Disappointed with Translink, especially as I'd bought my ticket

@MidiaPetronilla This will be the busiest week in Belfast in a long long while and lets hope it shows the world how far we've come along. Bringing the BUZZ back to Belfast, lets face it, it's not been great since COVID days.

For several weeks the whole of Belfast has known about the disruption the Fleadh was going to cause, But Sammy's wife didn't believe it, and decided to have a wee look for herself.

@MidiaPetronilla I'm guessing they also believe that all businesses in the City centre and surrounding areas aren't going to benefit from the Fleadh. There will hopefully be lots of people from all communities along with visitors from abroad enjoying and bringing money into Belfast

In a democracy people can vote for whatever party they wish and parties can vote how they wish in legislative chambers. However, the public are entitled to know how the parties they give a mandate to use it. It’s time for change in our politics here. (Source Stormont Watch).
