A very moving moment as the Relic of St. Columbanus is received into the parish of Myshall, beginning with an ecumenical liturgy in the Adelaide Church, concluding in the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross with @AWilkinson267 and a capacity congregation @KANDLEi @CatholicNewsIRL

On our way on the warmest day of the year to walk the @ColumbanusJ from the Nine Stones to Myshall as part of our XXVI Columbanus Celebrations hosted in @KANDLEi a super response from delegations from all over Europe and Ireland @CatholicNewsIRL

Last day of the Irish in Rome conference at Notre Dame Rome focusing on the Irish-Italian literary links and the legacy of Luke Wadding. It was incredible to discover so many other connections between Ireland & Rome🔗🇮🇪

It was a great pleasure to gather with our community, and our friends of the Irish in Rome Conference on Thursday evening to celebrate the Irish presence in Rome and 400 years of the founding of St. Isidore’s.🇮🇪

Prayers are with all caught up in the very tragic incident in Carlow last evening, while thinking of the deceased and his family, also the young girl injured during the incident and her family and the many who were working or shopping at the time, may the Lord be their consolation and hope @KANDLEi @CatholicNewsIRL

As pilgrims on the journey we rejoice in the election of a fellow missionary and pilgrim Cardenal Robert Prevost as Pope Leo XIV . In the footsteps of St . Columbanus and St. Augustine we pray that the Spirit of the Living God fall afresh in him as Vicar of Christ .

Pope Francis has passed the threshold of death and has passed into Eternal Life .. a pilgrim for Christ who has walked gently on the exploited earth, heard the cry of the poor and reached out to the marginalised. Rest in peace pilgrim of Christ
