What a weird response from Gane. “I cheat every fight and it’s only been an issue 1 time, I’m just gonna keep cheating”.

Ciryl Gane is asked if he has worked on keeping his fingers closed to avoid eye pokes 🗣️Gane: “No, unfortunately, this has happened at almost every event. This isn’t something special. This is MMA." 😂 via @nypostsports

He’s one of a kind. Paid for my meal when I had no money for food after a weigh in and then cornered me to win an 8 man tournament.

🆕 Anatoly Malykhin reclaimed the ONE Championship heavyweight MMA title – then announced his retirement after the most chaotic finish Lumpinee Stadium is likely to ever see.
The 38-year-old Russian knocked out Oumar “Reug Reug” Kane in the fourth round of their rematch at The Inner Circle on Friday night in Bangkok, after patiently breaking the Senegalese champion down for more than three rounds.
But the drama was only just beginning.
As referee Olivier Coste stepped in, Malykhin threw a kick towards Kane on the canvas – sparking fury from Reug Reug’s corner.
Members of Kane’s team climbed on to the ring apron and confronted Malykhin, before his own corner charged across the ring. A wild brawl followed, with officials, security, the doctor and judges caught up in the chaos.
The Bangkok Post understands one of Reug Reug’s cornermen suffered a leg injury during the incident, after being sent toppling from the ring to the floor.
Tensions had already been building all week, after Malykhin and Kane traded verbal barbs at Thursday’s face-offs, with both teams shouting across the divide before ONE staff separated the champion and challenger.
After the fight, the two eventually embraced once tempers cooled, before Malykhin celebrated with his three MMA world titles – and then stunned the crowd.
“I love you brother, but I’m done,” Malykhin told in-ring interviewer Mitch Chilson.
“I’m going back to Altai and taking care of my cows and my dogs. I’m tired of spilling blood and being away from home.”
The fallout from the brawl is only just beginning, with Kane calling for members of Malykhin’s team to be banned from future ONE events.

@MMAUNCENSORED1 @SpiderAnderson @stylebender @chrisweidman 4th is DDP but you could argue Rich Franklin he had 2 title defenses and was a big star back then. 6th place would be Strickland he never defended the belt but has won it twice and has plenty of good wins
