@shawngorham Just my two cents as a guy who had similar issues from caffeine and been on and off over the years, when you come back from a long break your first coffee will make you feel amazing. But it won’t be long before that feeling is gone and all the bad stuff is back.

In 2017 I started having panic attacks (never had them before) you’ve heard the story I immediately quit alcohol and caffeine - cause that’s what the books say and I’m a man so I was looking for a solution to a problem (panic attacks) Today I had a full caf flat white (usually get decaf) and I didn’t die. Infact I felt nothing different For 8 years I’ve told myself I can have caffeine because it will “ramp me up” and give me a panic attack. Big step forward today

More evidence that the strong correlation between physical fitness and risk of death is heavily confounded by genetics and other factors. This is a tough one for the preventive health community (including me)!

I am not a bodybuilder, but have learned so much from the bodybuilder community. It will never cease to amaze me how much bodybuilders figured out over time, only to have science confirm their findings. They were using creatine in the 90’s, GLP-1s in the 2000’s. Figured out how to lose fat while preserving muscle, optimal protein amounts. How to mitigate high lipids with, etc. Always on the bleeding edge and willing to share their knowledge from personal experimentation.

@mygene @jeffreytucker @elonmusk Yeah this take reads like Elon is an innocent child. He lied relentlessly and used DOGE as a weapon for going after perceived political enemies. Total scam from day one.

@jeffreytucker @elonmusk That's a very one sided view. He did untold harm by amplifying falsehoods and the massive conflicts of interest re DOGE are unprecedented. His own AI chatbot, Grok, acknowledged that his posts have misled billions, especially regarding elections.

My heart truly goes out to @elonmusk. He bought this platform to counter censorship and it worked, fundamentally changing public culture just in time. He still doesn't get credit for that. He saw an existential threat from the then-existing regime and tried to make a difference. He spent countless hours and enormous human energy putting together DOGE and discovering vast scandals in government. He believed he could make a difference. Then media and the political machine began to eat him and smear him, and he saw Congress essentially dismiss all DOGE efforts, and he was blocked in myriad ways. I worry that his efforts will stand as a warning to other businesspeople: don't try to improve the world and stay out of politics. He has been punished for trying to do the right thing.
