"Never controversial" is just flat out wrong, and Sheehan knows it. The NCAI - the single largest peak body representing First Nations tribes and peoples in North America famously led the opposition to the *name AND logo* for years. They had a whole campaign about it!

No, not what I'm saying. Native Americans are not one homogenous group. Some are fine with the logo/name. Some love it. But the *single largest* representative body of Native Tribes, the National Congress of American Indians, representing 200~ tribes, oppose it. That's enough.

Quick review; White uni ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Burgundy uni ⭐⭐⭐1/2 Black uni ⭐⭐⭐ Burgundy nerds gold pants. Black uni infinitely better than previous. Loss of matte burgundy helmet the most disappointing factor. That helmet was ELITE. Best in the NFL. New one is okay at best.

The Commanders now have 4 RB's under contract for next season. 1) Bill is the highest-ceiling player and one home run hitter. He's still got the inside track to the most carries. 2) Rachaad White is a younger, faster version of McNichols in theory. 3rd down, pass catching, pass protection. 3) Jerome Ford is only 26. Coming off a struggle of a season. Between the tackles guy can take some of the Rodriguez role. 4) Jeremy McNichols was excellent last year as the pass-catching back. Always seems to make the most of his chances. This room is good enough to enter the season with. I'd even say it's better than last year's group on paper. There is no NEED to do more at RB. But don't mistake that for meaning this group precludes WSH from drafting Jeremiyah Love. This is a high-floor, low-ceiling quartet comprised of 75% one-year contracts. If Love is there, he's still very much an option.

Final thoughts of the night: 1. This is a massive low-point regardless of the objective of this team right now. You can’t let that happen. One of the more embarrassing nights for this franchise. 2. I’m still confident this will be a playoff team next year. 🤷‍♂️
