@SkadiGelo @ukiyoesama @accent_is @KevinAbroad1 it is simple for you because you are a native speaker. foreigners have to think of something they didn't think of before. there are many exceptions to the permanent state rules. all spanish teachers that I have met say spanish is harder than english: conjugations and ser y estar

@ukiyoesama @accent_is @KevinAbroad1 "Ser" tells you what something is, the nature of its being, a permanent state. While "estar" refers more to what something does, or a temporary state. You might use "ser" to explain who or what you are, but you'd use "estoy" to tell what you are being or doing.

How @naomiosaka doesn't have adequate support or protection from this is beyond me. She's one of the world's BEST #tennis players and is still struggling. How is this not a cry for help being recognised by anyone in tennis, or her immediate team?

@ohnonero It really sucks that language learning does not mix well with both depression and anxiety as one triggers the other. I hope things getter soon. I had to stop my language program for this and I am chugging through on my own little by little

Gotta be real with y'all, I haven't studied or even engaged with any language in months. My depression's been so bad this year that I'm currently on 3 different meds BUT on the bright side, getting back into language learning will be the first sign that things are getting better

@dphoq I am still waiting for the invention of language downloading earphones to download languages directly into our brains. There are so many rules, exceptions, expression and grammar to learn.

It’s happened of course. My unvaccinated brother who is 45, healthy and a pilot for a major carrier is now in the hospital with Covid and pneumonia. Mandate vaccinations for ALL airline crews NOW. What a stupidly sad state of events.
