Huge thanks to @TCNJ colleagues, families, and friends for making this year's Backpack Project the best yet! We raised over $1,500 and packed over 100 backpacks for distribution through four community partners! So proud and grateful! @TCNJSchoolofEd

@edukatesullivan @GSPlayDay Only happening because of amazing educators like you. Imagine writing a thesis on @GSplayDay ? You would have to be crazy to do that. Or you would have to be @edukatesullivan

I know it's dead annoying when authors do this, but I am so delighted people are taking a chance on my Tips for Teachers book.
I put everything I have into it, it comes out on 6th Jan, and can be pre-ordered here: amzn.to/3GvV4hR

2.Do ALL students have equal opportunities to engage with homework? Quiet space, time, parent support, access to tech, prerequisite skills etc.

@adelebovard Indeed. Let’s start with real conversations about what learning is - and what it is not.

I was a teacher for (many) years before discovering I really wasn't teaching. I was talking, assigning, grading. And I thought I was teaching. Truly. I wasn't. I didn't start teaching until I learned to respond to each kid's learning. That is where/when I become a teacher.

@podsieorg We rewrote our curriculum map in order to interleave content. This allows us to teach through projects and revisit content throughout the year

Wondering if we can acknowledge students for their willingness to engage in performance tasks or PBL. We are trying an approach we call EPIC. Students earn badges for Engaging, Persevering, Iterating and Communicating. @jaymctighe @BedleyBros @gcouros @spencerideas
