Hot take: I feel like a lot of late-2010s cartoons had incredibly boring visuals, and that those lackluster visuals contributed to kids abandoning U.S. kidvid. Animation is a visual medium, and good visuals keep a viewer engaged (doubly so in the case of kids)

The way people put Glitch on a pedestal is so strange to me, indie animation’s transformation is not something I completely understand
