The 1947 UN partition of Palestine didn't pass because it had support — it passed because it was forced through. It was one vote short of the required majority. Four days later, after heavy US pressure on multiple countries, it passed 33–13. Truman himself later said he had never faced so much lobbying and propaganda aimed at the White House. 57 governments voted on Palestine's future. The people of Palestine were never asked.

🇷🇺 “CAN'T YOU SEE IT? THE WORLD WAR IS ON!” Köppel: “This is desperation, this is crap.” Solovyov: “It isn’t desperation — it’s war. The world war is already there, can’t you see it? You destroyed Libya, Syria, Afghanistan, Iraq, Yugoslavia. You're destroying Iran and Venezuela. You're making Cuba suffer. And you tell me there is no world war? Are you blind?” Köppel: “No. A world war is when Russia, the US, and China go directly against each other.” Two men, one burned planet, and a single question left hanging: How much destruction fits into a definition before the word “war” finally applies? 🧭

🇷🇺🇪🇺 RUSSIA TO EUROPE: “ON WHAT FRONTS ARE YOU WINNING?” Solovyov: “You took in a flood of refugees. Living standards fell because you pay ‘ugly guys’ in Rolls-Royces who say you owe them. You lost the Russian market and cheap resources. You damaged relations with China. You lost all your businesses in Russia. On what fronts are you winning?” Köpel: “I’m not arguing that Europe is winning in this war anything. I’m arguing that Europe is one of the big losers in this confrontation, which is totally useless.” A Kremlin voice lays out the wreckage. A Swiss editor agrees. No defense, Just an admission — live, on camera.

"TOO MUCH MONEY" Trump on Big Oil: "Chevron — highest profit in history, by twelve times. Exxon — $14 billion, highest in over a decade. They're making too much money. They gotta give some of that back. I'm a big free enterprise guy, nobody bigger, but this is too much." The self-described champion of capitalism just declared war on his own donors' balance sheets—blaming the shortage, promising oil prices will "drop through the floor" when the Iran war ends. The contradiction writes itself. 🧭

@UreneckJoe When the same man talks historic destruction and backchannel deals in one breath, the gap between words and reality feels like a slap. That's the part people are sick of watching.

THREATS AND BACKCHANNELS, ALL AT ONCE Trump on Iran, in the same breath: "We're gonna hit them very hard… harder than any attack since World War II." And then: "They called. Saudi Arabia called. UAE called. Qatar called. I don't want to use the word 'begging,' but… they said, 'We want to talk.'" Airstrikes ongoing. Talks ongoing. The language of annihilation and the language of negotiation, spoken in parallel. 🧭

TOTAL CONTROL Reporter: "Would Iran return to fully free navigation of the Persian Gulf?" Trump: "It has to be. I'm not gonna let 'em charge. Anybody's gonna charge, will charge. We're the ones that have total control. We have a thing called a blockade with this navy. They call it a wall of steel — the United States wall of steel. And no, there's not gonna be charging." A demand for free navigation, enforced by a blockade. Total control, declared from behind a wall of steel. The Strait belongs to everyone, unless Washington says otherwise. 🧭

@jacksonhinkle Tehran just read Trump's poll numbers as a strategic asset. A preemptive strike now wouldn't just hit a base, it would hit his campaign. The Gulf and the ballot box are suddenly the same front.

🇷🇺🇺🇦RUSSIA, UKRAINE, AND THE MEMORANDUM THAT NEVER WAS Köppel: "Russia guaranteed Ukraine’s borders under the Budapest Memorandum. Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons. Then Russia invaded." Solovyov: "It was never ratified. Never fully implemented. The nuclear surrender was an American idea. And Russia paid for it with certain goodies." The argument continues. The consequences do not wait.

GERMAN BOMBS OVER BELGRADE — AGAIN 🇷🇺Vladimir Solovyov draws a line from NATO's 1999 assault on Yugoslavia to today's accusations against Russia. German pilots struck Serbia as a peace deal neared. The West called it "humanitarian intervention." When Russia protects its people in Donbass, the same West calls it "invasion." He asks a simple question: Doesn't the UN Charter guarantee every nation the right to self-determination? 🧭

@HormuzLetter The war meant to cripple Iran just pushed it forward. US forces ejected from Kuwait and Bahrain, now regrouping in Jordan and Israel, still within reach of Iranian missiles. Tehran is setting the tempo of a conflict Washington started.

BREAKING: Iran has forced US forces to withdraw from Kuwait and Bahrain following weeks of constant Iranian missile attacks, pushing the US to reposition them further afield to Jordan, Israel and beyond. After 6 months of war with Trump, Iran has seized the initiative so that the US is "increasingly fighting at a pace set by Tehran," per FT. Iran's strategy that made the withdrawal happen is to force the US as far away from Iran as possible, out of the Gulf, Syria, and Iraq, and having them "holed up in Israel and Jordan," which is where US forces came under heavy Iranian fire in recent weeks, with hundreds of public figures signing a letter demanding immediate American withdrawal. That forced repositioning to Jordan has let Iran strike US soldiers more effectively, killing 3 US soldiers at Muwaffaq Salti Air Base more than 2 weeks ago.

@ggreenwald Yeah the double standard is annoying as hell. AI generates anti-US stuff no problem, but gets careful with Israel. Feels more like Silicon Valley just choosing sides than any real safety filter. Kinda why giving them that much control feels risky for the whole world.

@PamphletsY Indigenous communities in Argentina are pushing back against a government plan to sell their ancestral lands to foreign investors. The pattern is familiar: sovereignty at the margins, capital from outside. The question of who owns the land never really goes away.

TRUMP'S NUCLEAR WHIPLASH "Locked and loaded… at levels of Military Terror, Strength, and Power not seen since World War II." Hours later, the same post announces a deal: "Immediate, Complete, and Total OPENING OF THE HORMUZ STRAIT." An end to Iran's nuclear threat. The attack canceled, subject to a deal. Israel, he says, joins this commitment. A pattern etched in bold letters: threaten apocalyptic force, then pause at the last breath. The Strait remains shut. The nuclear file stays open. The world watches a deal materialize in the space between a threat and a tweet. This is the rhythm of the new Middle East. 🧭

Trump on Iran: "We've destroyed their military. Same thing as Venezuela. For nearly 50 years they were the bully. Obama tried to bribe them. That doesn't work. We're beating the hell out of them. And the regime is begging for the blockade to end." No soft language. Is the US really winning this war?🧭

@BowesChay Israel uses "Iran" as the reason it needs everything from the U.S., but then uses "Iran" as the reason it can give nothing to Ukraine. Pulled when convenient, ignored when not.

@DD_Geopolitics That was surgical. Marandi didn't just debate Dershowitz, he stripped away the fear that used to shield him. When people stop being afraid, the whole dynamic shifts.

Rep. Madeleine Dean just went off on CNN: "The president launched a reckless war with Netanyahu on Iran — without Congress, without the American people. 18 American service members dead. 500 wounded. 168 schoolgirls killed on day one. Rubio cut me off on a call and called me stupid. Now he's blaming governors for water system attacks instead of ending the war. Sadly, the people around him aren't capable." She named the latest dead. The president still hasn't.🧭

Ben Affleck paid tribute to his mother: “The central cause of her life was the suffering and injustice caused to the Palestinian people.” Chris Affleck dedicated decades to the cause. After visiting Palestine in 2009, she became involved with the Alliance for Water Justice and never stopped advocating — even urging US politicians to support a ceasefire in Gaza until her final days. Her legacy lives on.🧭

In April, a U.S. Congressional report stated for the first time: "Ceuta and Melilla are located in Moroccan territory and remain the subject of Morocco’s longstanding claim." It supported efforts by the Secretary of State to encourage diplomatic engagement on their future status. Now, with the mass crossing into Ceuta, the pressure is real. And here's Yair Netanyahu in 2019: "Let's make a deal — we won't fund NGOs in your country calling you to give away Ceuta and Melilla, and you will stop funding NGOs in our country that call us to give away Judea and Samaria." Europe criticizes Israel. Europe gets pressure in return.

Sánchez calls the Ceuta crossing "an attack on Spain's territorial integrity." Tens of thousands of men don't spontaneously decide to cross like this. Netanyahu previously warned that Spain would "pay an immediate price" for opposing Israel and "defaming the IDF." Now a sudden mass influx is putting heavy pressure on the Spanish government. Is this just a coincidence… or something more?🧭
