Black people in America need to be registered to vote, all of us. Full Fk’n Stop. In states like Georgia, Maryland, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama, turning to vote can shift outcomes in House, Senate, and gubernatorial races. Look at Georgia. About 3.5 million Black residents live here. Roughly 2.5 million of us are eligible to vote, yet only around 1.4 million of us actually do. That leaves between 900,000 and 1.1 million eligible Black voters not participating. Now compare that to the margins of the last two Ga: governor’s races. In 2018, the race was decided by about 54,000 votes. In 2022, about 191,000 votes. The number of eligible Black voters not participating is between 7 and 10x larger than those margins. This isn’t about theory, it’s about MATH. If we show up consistently, outcomes change. The shift starts with registration, and it is sustained by turnout. Register and VOTE.

Top journalist Ana Kasparian exposes absolute insanity. The Trump administration gave a $17.4M no bid contract to renovate fountains. The exact same job under a competitive contract would cost only $3.3M. Washington is intentionally looting taxpayers to enrich their cronies.

Yes. He’s the most famous entertainer in history. All of the entertainers you mentioned can sit courtside at a NBA game. Michael Jackson could not. @MagicJohnson told the story of how he invited MJ to a Lakers game and it created so much chaos, they had to stop the game. MJ had to leave because fans were leaving their seats to try to get to him. None of the people you mentioned have that level of fame where they can’t attend public events.

Is Michael Jackson really bigger than Eminem, Jay z, Lil Wayne, Taylor swift, Rihanna and Beyonce all put together?

The current MAGA party: "People should be having more kids." -But we can't afford them. MAGA: "You should work several jobs if that is what it takes to support them." -But if I am working several jobs to support them, then I'm not home to raise them & it cost me more in daycare than I make at some of my jobs. MAGA: "Well then make your parents watch them for you." -I can't because you've made it impossible for my parents to retire. You want them working until they are 70. MAGA: "Well you need to quit making excuses." I think that about sums up the current state of affairs, and I didn't even get into the abortion or birth control issues.

For anyone thinking the presidency is about anything other than stuffing his pockets, take a moment to watch this. I actually think that Trump has resigned himself to the fact he’s about to become a lame duck President. As a result he’s prepared to burn the house down, throw the Republican Party under the bus and do whatever it takes to build a legal defence fund for what’s about to happen after November. Thanks to Steven Rattner for the instructive clip. 🎥 TikTok - vm.tiktok.com/ZNRpexvVL/

I feel like the US is the only country where people act like it’s some kind of virtue to work yourself into the ground to afford basic life expenses Meanwhile in France the standard workweek is 35 hours & you’re legally protected from having to respond to after hours emails

This is the question worth asking every time a story like this comes out: if there’s no money for your health care, your kids’ schools, or the programs your family depends on, where is it going?      The Trump Administration just paid $17.4 million to fix two decorative fountains outside the White House. Three years ago, the same job was estimated at $3.3 million.       And guess what? The construction company that got the contract is the same one building Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom, and they got it without any competitive bidding whatsoever. The contract wasn’t even posted publicly, as required by federal law.      So how do you get from $3.3 million to $17.4 million? They added 27% for inflation. Then they added another 24% for inflation again. Then they tacked on additional charges that federal contracting experts said they had never seen before in their careers.      And the justification for bypassing the normal bidding process entirely? The fountains needed to be ready for America’s 250th anniversary. It’s worth noting that these fountains haven’t worked for nearly a decade. If the repairs were truly that urgent, why are they only fixing them now, and why are taxpayers footing a surcharge for the rush?      You are paying for this.   nytimes.com/2026/04/25/us/…

Memphis is the second Blackest big city in the country, and it’s about to be gerrymandered within an inch of its life so a white Republican can represent it in Congress. This was exactly the thing Congress was trying to address with the Voting Rights Act. tennesseelookout.com/2026/05/01/gov…

This cost them about $1 trillion. The truth is, you cannot build systems like this exclusively on the logic of profit. You cannot expect to break even in 20 or 30 years. Projects of this scale are built because the government decides they must exist to serve the people. And this is a problem with systems that are strictly, or overwhelmingly, capitalist. If you leave every problem in your society to the spontaneity of the market, some challenges are so large and so unprofitable that you will never have sufficient incentive to solve them.
